Any of the Fitbit's will count steps, most track sleep, calories, and mileage. The Surge can track up to 7 different types of exercises and has a multitude of features.Some people think it is bulky and clunky. It is not for everyone because of the multitude of features. The Surge HR is a good choice.

What warranty is offered for this product?
I know that FitBit has their own warranty for their products, but I am wondering if Best Buy has a different warranty or an added one.
Best Buy offers a warranty on the Surge and it is probably a good idea to consider it. The Fitbit warranty is one year and thy are very responsive to your inquiries.

Which fitbit is right for me?
Can you shut off features that drain the battery? And if you are really only interested in your heart rate, steps walked things of that nature is the fitbit surge over kill?
Yes, if all you are interested in is cardiovascular fitness, choose one of the other models. It has a multitude of features that you probably will not use. The Charge HR is a good choice.
