We watch over the air tv ( no cable). Every week, for some strange reason, we would lose the signal. We are about 70 miles outside Boston.
We purchased this amplifier. Plugged it in , and have a much more reliable signal. I think we lost the signal on one channel once for a few minutes. Other than that we get 28 great channels. NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, FOX, and some independent Chanel's . Unit is easy to install.
Takes about ten minutes.

We broke from direct tv and added an antenna on our roof. We got 28 channels, all the major networks. We missed some of those network channels. This is were the Roku 3 came in. It connects to the HDM1 port on your tv and wireless to your house network. Get internet channels now on our tv. Thru Roku we added SlingTV which gave is 22 channels. HGTV, DISNEY, CNN, ESPN,ESPN2, Hitory, lifetime and more.

This unit was easy to assemble and does everything I wanted it to do.
We currently are pulling in 28 channels over the air. We get all the major networks in HD. WE LIVE in the country about 64 miles west of Boston.

I have a indoor HD antenna with a built in amplifier. I get lousy reception, and wonder if this would help, or if I need to buy a outdoor antenna
Not sure how far away you are from the trasmitting tower(s).
Try a long distant , omni directional outside antenna from Best Buy.
They have a 15 day return policy. If you notice no difference
Return the antenna. I picked up an antenna and 100 feet of wire.
Put the antenna temporary on my roof and ran the wire in the front door

What is the connection for injecting power through the coax (into the output 1 terminal)? Is the center lead positive 12V?

can i use more than one amplifier
I don't think having two amplifiers in series will help.
If you have very long runs you may want to look

Instructions for hook up
im a little confused how to hook this up. I'm not seeing a difference therefore I'm thinking it's not hooked up correctly.
Antenna wire will connect to the single INPUT port. The four output ports are for four tv. If you have one tv, connect your wire from port #1 your tv.
Some say cap the unused ports with 75 ohm termination resistors.

No signal once powered up...
So I have all coaxes plugged in, and when I connect with the AC power cord, the LED lights up red, but then I lose all signals to each of the 4 lines plugged in to it. It works okay when not powered with AC, but once I plug in AC, the signal to the TV drops out.
Any ideas?

Check to make sure you have the correct cable coming into the input port.
That input cable should not have a pre amp in it. That pre amp may have

I would like more information and how to set up Sling box
I have wireless system in my home. There are 1 desktop and 1 laptop computers with a"pad" of some type planned for Christmas. I don't have smart tvs but have three hgtv and may get a fourth for the garage or workshop. Can you help me plan how to setup a Sling box so we can take advantage of the programming and recorded content on our Dish. Can I get rid of extra Dish boxes and replace them with Sling? Thanks
Only one tv can log into the Slingbox at a time unless Slingbox came out with something new. Today every tv needs a cable box. Slingbox cannot replace a cable box.
Have you thought about dropping cable and putting up an antenna?
Each tv needs to be fairly new with a. Digital tuner. One antenna each tv can watch what they want NBC,CBS,ABC,PBS,FOX,WE,etc.
To get other channels add a Roku-3 to each tv, this give you access to Internet channels, Netfix, Hulu, hallmark,History, and 2,000 other Apps.

Can I use slingbox to replace my cable box?
Can I use slingbox to replace my cable box? Would like to get rid of my cable box from Cox and use the slingbox instead of the cable box. Is this possible? If not ,is there a product that this is possible?
Slingbox only allows video streaming. As you know it takes the video signal from your cable box and send it onto the Internet. Slingbox cannot replace a cable box.
What we did....... We dropped Irect TV. I went to Best Buy a picked up an antenna. ChannelStream 4V. This is a directional antenna. I mounted it on our roof with the bracket that came with it. Attached a RG6 wire and ran it over to our direct tv antenna. Disconnected the wire from our direct tv antenna and attached that wire to my new RG6 antenna wire. Had to add a male adapter to join the wire together. By doing this I am sending my antenna signal to all our rooms. I went to each tv and removed the cable box and took the wire from the wall port and attached it to the back of each tv. I took out the TV REMOTE (not the cable box remote). Select input and switched to antenna. The tv does a search for channels . We ended up with 28 HD OVER THE AIR channels. We got all the major networks, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, FOX and more.
Now.... We like hallmark, lifetime, ESPN, history, HGTV, etc. these are not over the air. So we purchased a Roku-3 and connect it to one tv to try it out. This device connected out tv to the Internet. Most of the new tv are smart tv and have an Internet connection but ours is three years old.
Roku-3 gives you over 2,000 Apps. We added a pay App called SlingTV $20 per month. SlingTV is not connect to SlingBox. Two different companies. SlingTV is ones by DishNetworks. There is no contracts, etc.
Anyways our $20 gives us 22 Internet channels like ESPN, ESPN2, DISNEY, HISTORY, TNT, A&E, HGTV, HALLMARK, etc. the LOSS WHEN you drop cable, no tvguide ( I U.S. The TvGuide App on my iPad).
No way to record ( we we miss a show I go to the channel web site the next day and were able to watch the show for free) or one can purchase a ChannelMaster 750 DVR for $399. This unit allows you to record two shows at once and being connected to the Internet it gives you a nice TV guide. So far we are getting by without the DVR. YOU HAVE Cox, just disconnect the cable as it enters you house and connect your antenna wire to where the Cox cable use to be attached.

Setup issue
I have hooked up my new 350 sling box per the instructions. When I try to watch the sling box on the website it says there's an error stating If I am not the owner to contact the owner. I don't see why I should get that error I just bought it from best buy. I even tried a factory reset per the support site. Any one else have a similar issue

Old see a second user coming in. Make sure only one computer is logged into your slingbox account.
Not sure if that is the answer. When I installed my 350 I called sling and they helped me at no cost. Have you tried to call their toll free number?
