What's great about it: Plenty of power/multitasking power
What's not so great: disappointed about the GPU!
I don't know how many of you have followed this but this is the build that Acer supposedly has been "pefecting" for the past year and a half. I have followed this through the Acer site probably for a good six months.
I must say, the case...looks absolutely awesome and I'm digging that orange(favorite color)
The CPU as promised has plenty of power and the GPU is decent I suppose. Has plenty of optical drives/other features included it that makes up the price.
The only thing I am honestly disappointed about was the GPU. Acer kept saying they was going to make the "top of the line system" but this just isn't it. There are several GPU's that can easily outperform this.

What's great about it: Nice looking case/decent CPU

Pros:
-I like the look of the case and it appears to have plenty of ventilation so shouldn't have an issue with airflow whatsoever.
-The six core is last year but it is still well worth it for a couple more years I'd say.

Cons:
-The GPU.. on CRYSIS 2...which is fairly old you are looking at about 15-25 FPS for it to stay at no matter of the resolution. the class graphic card in the 6XXX is just told itself. Upgrade it though you will be surprised of the performance jump. You can easily upgrade to a better card for about 250-300$. I would suggest looking at the 660Ti or the 650 TI BOOST
-The memory...I really wouldn't call it a "con" but I would also suggest at least upgrading to 8GB within the next year. Most games will play perfectly fine with 4GB but as time goes on you will need to upgrade this I'm sure.
Other thoughts:
-Please keep in mind that this has a DVI, a HDMI, and a D-SUB. It does NOT have a VGA port.
-If you aren't scared to open the case and upgrading certain parts later this is an excellent investment for the first time builder/gamer enthusiast.

What's great about it: 7200 RPM/16GB

Yeah not entirely sure how to review this one.. I'm not sure why anybody would have 16GB of memory in a pentium grade motherboard...
For business this may be an ideal machine for the multitasking power with all the memory/fast hard drive (7200 rpm for this price isn't bad )
Here is a break down:
-No GPU (so no major gaming of any kind)
-Pentium based CPU ( so really for the basic person )
-16 GB memory ( that multitasking! Can do A LOT/more than most at once...too bad the cpu slows it down some)
-Motherboard (unknown)
-power supply ( unknown)

For 845$ this isn't a bad machine. It could be better, possibly at least a 640 instead of a 620 for the price but overall it isn't bad. Includes a media card reader ( I don't know why anybody would want considering most enthusiast have a small portable one...), has a 4770 for plenty of speed/processing, and 16gb is plenty for video editing and gaming combined.
Get a better video card for this and it will be an alright system. Keep in mind though that any upgrades to this system will void the asus warranty!

You are paying for the Allienware name brand with this computer sad to say it.
You get a 1GB of dedicated memory (gddr5)...which true is supposedly the best for gaming for but still. I can buy several other computers on BestBuy that have 650/660's that have at least 2GB of video memory for the same value/features.
The wireless with a/b/g/n is very nice I like that. Can't rate the memory cause I don't know the speed.

The X8700-7513BLK,
Can be a great beginner gamer machine that can be built off. It has 8GB (1333/1600 most likely...),, a 1tb hard drive, sleek looking case, a 4th generation 4770, and a 7570 graphics card all at a decent price.
I'm looking at this build as more of an "investment" for a mid level gamer. You could buy this machine for 820$ with an already nice cpu so you don't have to worry about that and buy the 200 warranty, and the 100$ tech support warranty(because if you ever upgrade this it will void any warranty the manufacturer had). So the total becomes around...
1,120$ before tax. These are just rounded figures mind you!
So now you have a nice long warranty, the upgrade support with geek squad and a decent piece of equipment with mid level gaming hardware in it. You can then invest another 300$ on buying a better graphics card.
For those who also saw the other XPS on here the X8700-7538BLK, I honestly didn't see it worth the extra 40$ for the media card reader cause you can buy that with the tech support for a far cheaper price!
My only real concern here is what motherboard is in it...with it being a 4th generation in a Dell build it may be a H87 board. (even though the regular 4770 is only 3.4ghz so you can assume it could be a z87 cause it does overclocking? Not sure...)
This machine has some power, a lot of power. It can do a lot it just needs a couple of upgrades that's all. I would suggest this to a friend if he wanted a decent computer for a decent price. Even if I 'm not much of a Dell fan!
Please keep in mind that the 7570 does have a vga/hdmi port. I have read that depending on the brand you may or may not need a minihdmi port.

For this price...you can't go wrong. Instead of buying a 1,000$ computer buy this, and use the extra 400$ to purchase a better gpu(graphics card)
8gb memory - excellent amount for multitasking overall
six core AMD FX 6300 processor while not the best is still an excellent cpu. From my understanding it is in the league of a 2-3rd generation intel I5 which is plenty for the budget gamer.

7750 radeon/1gb video memory...not the best but like I said as a budget gamer you should buy this, and invest in the better video card.
Nothing else here is really important, it's a "barebone gamer computer. Take it, build on top of it, and enjoy extreme gaming.

This case is well SICK. I wish I had known about that case a month ago when I bought my Asus. I may actually have to see if the Geek Squad can transfer my pc parts to that case(if they will)

Overall,
This is a very nice computer. FOr those who are wondering this is a mid tower case by Corsair 200R is the name of it.
So let's talk about the specs
16GB ( can be upgraded to 32 GB meaning it probably has two slots still open for 8GB memory.most likely )
GeForce GTX 660 Ti while not the BEST card out there it is one of the best. Currently ranked 11th. So you will be able to do plenty with this baby.
1TB hard drive is PLENTY of space for any gamer. Most people will probably have external drives for music so that way the gamer can have plenty of space with this.
I would also suggest getting a SSD from BestBuy and getting it installed for even faster boot up.
Has a blue ray reader in it with a DVD writer combo. Was sad it didn't have the writer in it but would only be about a 60-70$ upgrade so not too bad! If you are going to go this route I would suggest looking at the Lite-On IHBS112-04.
12 USB ports is pretty awesome though means plenty of ports for all the good gadgets. If you need more though...(which I would hope you don't...) you can get a good 6-7 port hub for about 30$ at BestBuy. (don't remember the model at the moment sorry...I know it was a Dynex)
600W power supply by the way for those who are wondering so it packs plenty of juice for your gaming needs!

This thing is a BEAST in the sense of storage space. 128GB USB for 60$ can't be beaten. If you want a USB that can hold this much let me tell you, GET IT TODAY!
The only two issues I have with this drive are:
1) It's a PNY (not a PNY fan ew...but totally irrelevant so ignore this! )
2) USB 2.0 not a 3.0. Meaning, it doesn't matter if you are transferring a total of 128GB on to it or what...will still take forever. 20GB will take you about two hours, so 120GB logically will take you about... half a day topos ONLY half a day yeah!
I would suggest this to a friend though purely due to the price.
This product has... Reliable, Slow, Attractive design/portable, Large capacity/good size

Yes, two cellphones with bluetooth can be connected at once. When you wish to make a cell call via the home phone you will have to press the cell button then menu and select the desired bluetooth smartphone that is paired.

If my cell phone is not paired with the base unit, eg: I am away from home, will it still answer?
No, it must be paired to ring from your cell. Your cell can still contact the landline portion of the phone though.

Most VTech give you capability of up to five handsets. This particular model all have speakerphone.

Is this a good gaming computer?
Will I be able to play games like Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 on med to high settings?
The I5 is a nice touch and will be plenty of cpu processing power for gaming...the graphics card is similar the AMD 7850 in benchmarks and would be able to run most games at at least 30 FPS or higher. I know I can play BF4 for example with a 7850 so you should be able to as well in at least 1600x900 resolution or something. I don't know about 1920x1080.
I would suggest doing a google search for something like "GT 650 benchmarks" and go to tomshardware or something. It will show you comparable games with FPS to give you a good idea.
I guess what I am saying is this COULD BE a good gaming computer but it depends on what you are playing and at what resolution.

Does this cable modem support Comcast (CO) cable services?
Yes, the SURFboard is actually the "sister" suggested product for Comcast. I used this exact model for about a year with Comcast(and still do) I will say this though if this is the one that has the combo modem/router I would SUGGEST you get your own router....the combo's just fail sooner than the plain modems for whatever reason.
