Where to begin. Ok, for some reason that makes sense only to the engineers at Lenovo, the fan on this laptop blows at full speed constantly. And it's not a quiet fan. It's one of those loud grindy fans. The only way to avoid this is to hack together an aftermarket fan control. I honestly do not understand how they sell these.
Secondly, the screen has terrible light bleed. Also, whites are not white, they have a dull yellowish cast. I have a 6th Gen i7 with no dedicated graphics and a 4k screen and it is faster than this.
Just bad engineering at every turn. Don't waste your time. HP Spectre x360 is dramatically better product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Let me start by saying I am VERY picky about my PC. I was hesitant to buy this unit based upon some of the reviews complaining of bad wifi, screen flickering etc. Don't know if the drivers have been updated since those reviews but I've had NONE of those issues
GOOD:
1) Screen is simply amazing.
2) Build quality MUCH better than previous iteration of this unit. Soft touch plastic shell, less flex in the keyboard and more solid feeling glass over the screen.
3) The 6th Gen i7 is very quick and runs cool. I am getting almost ZERO FAN CHURN or the fan is so quiet I barely hear it.
4) Keys are solid, responsive and don't feel cheap.
5) As a Surface Pro owner, don't underestimate the eye-strain and related headaches that working on such a small screen all day can give you. 15" is definitely the sweet spot for a laptop.

BAD:

2) The 5400 RPM HDD is a JOKE. Spend $70 and get yourself a 240 GB SSD. Easy to install (be gentle) and you will thank yourself.

For the money, nothing else out there touches this. HIGHLY recommend. I can only assume those complaining in prior reviews were unlucky and got lemons. That happens.

Here's the question you have to ask yourself. If you are looking for an all day, in the office on the phone with clients Bluetooth, you honestly should get an overhead one with boom mic. Nothing else compares.
But if you are looking for a super lightweight, long battery life unit with excellent sound for hearing on calls or listening to music as you run around town, and can live with acceptable but not excellent outgoing call quality, this is your headset. The best part is you do not look like a cyborg wearing it. It is small and quite discrete.
To summarize. Not the 100% professional office Bluetooth, but definitely the one you want to pop on your ear when you leave the office or head to the gym.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes this is a great thin and light hybrid laptop - but without an active stylus and with that hideously gaudy meat grinder of a hinge it is such a disappointment for me I had to give it only two stars.

What's great about it: It does EVERYTHING.
What's not so great: Not as "lapable" as an ultrabook, but close...
For years I have been looking for that "one device that does everything". A light ultrabook feel that can double as a tablet consumption device or a business productivity device. An active stylus is a must because there are just times (such as class or in a business meeting) where you want to take notes but can't be hammering away on a noisy keyboard.
It seemed like so many products came close but just missed on one key feature. In designing the Surface Pro 3 it was as if M$ stared into my brain and checked every box on what I thought was wrong with the first two versions. If this had been the FIRST version of the Surface Pro, we'd all still be talking about what a home run it was. There is a message to M$ in this - listen US and WE will tell you what WE want.
Anyway, I love this device. The screen size at 3:2, the high resolution, the pen, the flexibility on how it can be used, the light weight. Just awesome knowing I have a tool that can do EVERYTHING I need to do on the fly.
P.S., If you are concerned about the 12 inch screen being too small for business, realize that at 3:2 aspect ratio, this screen has as much vertical real estate as a 13.3 inch 16:9 screen. Yeah, surprising but true.
So what do I not like? It's a little spendy and the keyboard should be included. At this price, Office 365 should also be free and included. M$ has some quality control issues. I had to exchange my first unit because it had a yellow smudge running down the left hand side of the screen as well as light bleed. My replacement unit is perfect. M$ needs to fix this whatever is causing it.
What could beat the SP3? Well an SP4 sporting an M processor for one, but other than that, something in the form of a Dell XPS 11 but with real keys and a stylus would be a serious contender if only for being a little more "lapable".
Conclusion: If you are a doctor, student, salesperson, shop foreman or business person who attends a lot of meetings the SP3 is THE device for you. Get the i5. It is the sweet spot for this device. i7 is overkill, burns too much battery and gets too hot. i3 is fine for basic office or web browsing but bogs down doing anything like databases.

What's great about it: The screen, the keyboard, the speed, the space, the ram, the price.
What's not so great: Minor light bleed, no active digitizer.
$1199 for an i7 13.3 inch 3300 x 1800 screen with 256 GB SSD and 8GB ram. Are they kidding? This is like stealing. You can't touch a similar Surface Pro 3 for $600 more.
The screen is simply stunning. Full stop.
It's got i7 speed but barely gets warm and the fan is whisper quiet and rarely runs.
Some minor light bleed across the bottom which is only noticeable on black backgrounds. With a thin flexible LCD screen like this, light bleed of some sort is almost unavoidable. Regardless, you can't even see the little there is 99% of the time.
Ok, to be super super picky, the backlight behind my "N" key is brighter than all the other keys. Have no idea if this is just my computer or they are all like this. Anyway, only an OCD person (like myself) would even notice or care.
The great crime of the Y2P is that Lenovo chose not to include an active digitizer layer in the screen for use with a stylus. If they had, the Y2P at this price point would be the ultimate hybrid computer available today, period. Regardless, I've noticed that I rarely use a pen anyway since typing is faster than writing and I can actually read it a week later. Still, in a pinch a stylus works just fine on this so long as you use a cleaning cloth as a palm shield.

What's not so great: Viewing angle of 64 degrees is ridiculous.
Nice dock but the fixed viewing angle of 64 degrees is too steep for anyone over 6' tall. When they go to all that trouble to create an adjustable kickstand for the SP3, why do they create a non-adjustable docking station? Just dumb.
Plus $200 for a piece of plastic with no moving parts? C'mon MS, get serious.
5 stars for functionality but the price and dumb viewing angle knocks it down to 1 star.

What's great about it: luxurious look and feel

I've always thought Samsung brand cases were a ripoff that could be easily replaced by an aftermarket case for a fraction of the price - until now.
The design of this case is brilliant. The snap buttons on the back keep the case profile at a minimum. This means you can fold the cover back when holding the tablet like a book very comfortably. The material the cover made from is very soft to the touch and feels like quality.
To make things best of all the case allows for 3 different viewing angles and is quite stable due to smart use of magnets.
The material has the feel of something very easy to clean which is important if you own a white one.
If you can get this on sale for $39.99 it is a steal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: The screen
What's not so great: Typical Samsung bloat
Do you long for a light and convenient platform from which to experience the entire Internet in bold deep color with white whites and black blacks? Get this tablet.
The screen is no less than extraordinary. You simply will not have one of those, this is great but I wish it did "this" moments. The screen is utterly satisfying.
The only negative? As usual Samsung bloat and laggy UI. No worries. Run a launcher like Nova and things will speed up. Also they will soon have this thing rooted with some fast debloated roms to choose from.
If you buy right away you can get $100 off simply by trading in an old working tablet. The case (which is amazing) is also on sale for only $39.99. Highest quality best fitting case I have ever owned.
Last thought. Wish Samsung offered this in black but white will do.
I have 10 BestBuy stores in my geographic region. They all sold out by the second day. This is a hot tab.

What's great about it: The resolution
What's not so great: Laggy, terrible light bleed, fuzzy video, gets hot
Wow was looking forward to using this device with the great resolution but was so disappointed.
1) It is surprisingly laggy and just plain froze up on several occasions.
2) Pretty bad light bleed in bottom right quadrant. Like spotlights. Makes viewing movies with dark borders pretty unenjoyable.
3) The blacks are kind of dark gray. Not good.
4) The back gets pretty hot and uncomfortable to hold.
5) Surprisingly all videos including YouTube and Netflix seemed slightly out of focus with muddy colors. This REALLY surprised me given the high resolution.
6) Already own a Note 3 and find this somewhat redundant as the Note 3 is about the same width in landscape as this is in portrait. And honestly the screen image on the Note 3 is superior. Note 3 also fits in my pocket.
7) Sound is tinny at best. Not very loud.

No, sadly Quicken is far too advanced to work on a low spec machine like this. Quicken requires at minimum an i9 cpu with 300 GB ram and a 2 TB SSD with 3D laser cube memory capability.

Remember that these wireless charging cases only charge at 650 mah. That is significantly below the 2 amp wired charged. It's cool and all but will charge MUCH slower than plugged in.

I have a Embroidery program that I have currently on my Lap Top that I use to convert files to run on my sewing machine.
No, you cannot download any programs on a Surface Pro. You have to pay an extra $1000 for the "Download Unlock Feature".

I believe the hard drive is upgradable but the ram is soldered on. Not sure what kind of SSD it takes, Google that. Changing it will likely void your warranty.

If I order a Yoga 2 online at bestbuy.com today, how new will the unit be?
I've heard there's been at least one fix or patch made to Yoga 2s since they first became available. If I bought one online today--say December 3 or 4 2013) at bestbuy.com, would it include all the latest updates/patches/fixes? Thanks!
I just picked up a new one and it was running Windows 8.1 already along with all patches EXCEPT the BIOS and Energy Manager which I applied myself.
