Seriously, this printer checks all of my boxes and then some. It’s perfect for a home or small office set up. It prints good photos and fast documents. It has a manual tray in the back for loading a variety of documents and a standard paper tray in the front. It has a loading scanner tray on the top of the printer, but you can always put documents and photos directly on the scanning bed as well.
The big push for this printer is the “investment ink”. At full, Brother estimates you can get page yields of 1,200 color pages and around 2,400 back and white pages. Brother estimates that these tanks will last a year based on standard usage, but obviously, your yield is going to vary depending on the type of content you are printing. I have had this printer a week. I have printed about 70 documents and about 20 fine quality pictures. So far, I have barely made a dent in my remaining ink (see attached picture). I would have run out of ink in my standard inkjet a few photos ago. But this printer keeps on going. And, when I eventually replace my ink tanks, I expect I will pay less for the year as these huge tanks aren’t all that expensive. I was spending $50 on my HP cartridges that were empty in a few months. I expect these tanks will last much much longer.
The printer is easy to set up. Documentation with the printer is fairly limited. There is a QR code on the front of the included documentation that will take you to online files in you need more info, but in my experience, everything was pretty straight forward. You can download the latest drivers from the Brother website or install from the included DVD. For my test, I fully installed the brother software on my laptop, but the other PCs on my network required no software installation. Windows found the device on the network and installed basic drivers for them with no prompting on my part. I would still recommend installing the software as you get more features and can easily monitor the printer’s ink chambers, but if you just want to print office documents, you don’t really need more than the basic windows driver. The printer works great on both Samsung and Apple tablets and phones. In both cases, I could download the Brother iPrint&Scan from Google Play and the Apple App Store to print photos, but AirPrint worked great to just print documents from my iPad and iPhone.
The feature set on this printer is amazing. You get dual sided printing. You can fax. You can scan to email. You can scan a document into an editable Word document. You can scan to One Drive, Drop Box, e-mail, or Google Drive. You can even scan a spreadsheet directly into Excel. Scanning to mobile produced a QR code that you can scan with your phone to download scanned document. There are tons and tons of features for this printer and, in my experience, they all worked well.
So far, printer maintenance has been easy. In the last week, the printer itself has had two firmware updates. Both times, the printer notified me of the update and installed it quickly and effortlessly. I’ve had no problem with streaks or lines in prints. Everything has come out looking great.
I like the quality of my photo prints on this printer much more than a HP printer I picked up a few years ago. The images just look brighter and truer to the screen image. With the right photo paper, images really pop. I got the best results from premium Fujifilm, but even pictures on HP paper looked good.

If I had any complaint, the manual paper tray on the back of the machine could be a bit finicky. The printer would say paper is loaded, but sometimes when I went to print I had to reload the photo paper in order to get it to go through. It’s important, I discovered, to make sure your photo paper is fully in the slot. Beyond that, the Brother MFC-J995DW has worked flawlessly. I have been testing this printer for a week. I have documents and photos everywhere and my family thinks they look great.
I love the features and simplicity of the printer, the quality of the prints, and the size of the ink tank. This printer really does check all my boxes and I recommend it to anyone in the market.

Brief Summary: The OneStep+ is an expensive, finicky nostalgic throwback. It works with the Bluetooth on your smartphone to take timed shots and to scan in your photos (among other features), but at roughly $2+ a picture, you would be better off sticking to the Polaroid Snap Touch or purchasing a photo printer.
Nostalgic tech is everywhere these days. My girlfriend and I are building our own vinyl record collection. Modern tech is working to make some of these old analog trinkets work better with our digital devices. The OneStep+ aims to recapture the nostalgia of the old OneStep cameras, but it adds Bluetooth functionality to enable timed shots and double exposures. Problem is it’s just all a bit too cumbersome. Setting up the analog levers on the camera, lining up the shot, and then snapping with the phone is just a hassle. I do like the ability to scan in my Polaroid pictures with the app, but it was a bit difficult keeping the glare out of the scan.
Then there are the actual pictures. The cartridges come in packs of 8. My black and white pictures look good. But my color pictures on the i-type film were awful. 2/8 pictures came out. At $2.00 a picture ($16 - $20 for a cartridge of 8), I can’t see myself wanting to practice or make this into an actual hobby. I read later that the color film is more sensitive to light and that those pictures need to be shielded for up to 6 minutes. The black and white pictures came out better, but, again, this is a hassle.
I like the idea of instant prints, but the OneStep+ is too cumbersome and difficult to be much more than a novelty. I can’t see myself using it much until cartridges come down in price a good deal. I love the look and this did give me a nostalgic thrill, but it also reminded me why I love my digital camera and my smartphone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This little speaker packs quite a punch! I was pleasantly surprised by how much sound this little speaker produces.
It also works as a small speaker phone. I found I could easily hear the person I was calling and they could hear me so long as I kept the speaker stationary.
It’s not entirely waterproof. It will survive some rain or some splashes, but it isn’t rated to be submerged.
Thanks to its size, this speaker is great for camping or a picnic.
All in all, I say pick it up. I doubt you will find a better speaker at this size and price. It won’t rival the sound of a speaker 3x its price, but for what it is, I really like it.

These headphones are amazing. They look slick. Customizable lighting, cool angular look, and a foldable mic make this headset look great.
They feel ultra comfortable and are very utilitarian. The mic folds up into the headset and the USB dongle can be attached to the headphones for travel.
Sound quality is top notch. I know these headphones are wireless (in my testing they work great up to 11 feet), but I hear no static or popping. The sound is great for movies and games. I love the various settings and bass zones.
Only downside is no built in multichannel surround sound, but honestly with the built in settings and atmos plugin available, I am not sure you need it.
Again, I can’t recommend this headset enough.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4S is a finely polished tablet. It really is the best iPad alternative I have found. The HDR display looks amazing. Colors pop, four speakers deliver crisp (if not ear drum shattering) sound. Movies like “Ready Player One” and “Ghostbusters (2016” look amazing.
I have primarily been an iPad person, but this may be my new go-to tablet. The face / retina scanner works well. I feel like a bit of an idiot holding the tablet up to my face, but, assuming there is plenty of lighting, it works well. Unlike the iPad Pro, the stylus comes included. The tablet detects the stylus when it is close to the screen and even gives a small cursor.
DEX mode can be used without a dock. With a Bluetooth keyboard and a mouse, the Tab4s functions very much like a laptop. However, while it would work in a pinch, I still prefer my tablet as a tablet. If I want a laptop with laptop power, I will just use my laptop. But, DEX mode is functional and they are adding new features all the time.
Still, I think the primary competition for this tablet is the iPad Pro and, compared with that tablet, this tablet is great. There are enough little features and polish to recommend this tablet to anyone looking for a comparable tablet running the Android OS.

The Plantronics - RIG 500 PRO headphones are a small improvement on a pre-existing design. Luckily, for Plantronics and gamers everywhere, that design is pretty solid.
The sound is incredibly detailed, just like before. The headphones fit well, just like before. And they simply look and feel like a set of headphones that will hold up with some wear. I love how the mic is disabled if it is placed in an up position. No buttons; it just works.
They sound good in games even before you enable the spatial surround sound via the Dolby Atmos software. When spatial sound is enabled, gaming sounds just come alive. These are still stereo headphones. The surround sound is created via software tricks with slight delays and echos to give the simulation that the sound is coming from all around you. It works well and it was nice to have the software included in the packaging. The included Atmos tech demos really show off the surround sound abilities.
But, anyone can purchase the Dolby Atmos for headphones. It costs $15 on the Microsoft store and will work with virtually any pair of stereo headphones. In addition, Microsoft has a free alternative in "Windows Sonic" for headphones that sounds pretty darn close to Atmos and it's free with the latest build of Windows 10. Also, while I love the spatial sound in games, I noticed distortion and loss of detail if Atmos was enabled while I listened to music.
Still, these headphones are worth it without the Dolby Atmos. They're really quite impressive.
However, as PC Gaming headphones, they have some drawbacks. My gaming PC has separate audio connectors for the headphones and the MIC. This headphone set has no adapter included in the box. A shame since other manufacturers include the adapter with their headphones. Also, the headphone cable seemed rather short. My desktop computer is on the ground and the cable was only around 4.5ft long.
But, having said that, I really like these headphones. They sound great and they feel like they will last for years to come.

So, these headphones are a bit of a mixed bag....
I really like the case. The case charges the headphones and takes up very little space. Headphones snap in and out of the case and everything looks cool. The headphones feel secure in my ears. Once in, the hook keeps them in place well and the extra adapters for the ears ensure you have a good fit. The headphones are suitably small and I barely notice them in my ears.
Cons:
The sound just isn't that good. A lot of the detail is lost in these headphones. My stock iPhone headphones sound infinitely better than these. Details just seem to dissolve into static. There is an app which provides three different sound settings, but in my experience, it didn't change much.
The documentation claims these will get 6 hours of battery life, but I tapped out after two and a half hours.
Controls on the headphones seemed clunky. I could pause and play my music, but that is about it. Conversations on the phone sounded rough to both me and the person I was calling.
They're not awful headphones, but they just aren't that good. There are too many other options in the price range that sound better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I received this mouse pad for free in exchange for an impartial review. However, when I received this mouse initially, it did not work. I was supposed to test this with the Dark Core SE RGB mouse, but after trying the mousepad on two separate computers, I could not get the Qi wireless charging port to work. The USB 3.0 passthrough worked, but the Qi charging did not. So, I had shelved this mousepad while waiting for a replacement which never came. Today, I pulled the mousepad out and, to my surprise, it actually works now.
Either way, I'm not sure this mousepad is worth the investment. As a mousepad, it's fine, but there are cheaper options for both mousepads and Qi chargers. There are no RGB lights on the mousepad. You get one passthrough USB 3.0 port and Qi charging (in the upper right corner) in exchange for 2 USB 3.0 ports on the computer. I'm not sure that trade is worth it. Without the mousepad, I would have the wireless dongle plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Now, I've given up two of my USB 3.0 ports for a slow Qi charger?
As an accessory to the Dark Core SE mouse, the mousepad works fine enough. The Qi charging is a bit slower than I expected, but it does work. However, you have to leave the mouse on the top right corner in order for it to charge.
The Qi charger works with the iPhone 8 without an adapter and on lower models with the included adapter. I was even able to use the micro USB to charge my Logitech Performance MX mouse.
The mousepad is sturdy and it grips the desk well. The Qi charging is a cool feature and in theory, does free up some charging cables, but I'm not sure if that was worth the USB 3.0 ports in exchange.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Short Version:
This Acer Nitro AN515-53 is a good gaming laptop. If you are looking for a laptop to play games, this laptop is more than capable for the games of today.
Long Version:
I have had gaming computers for the last twenty years, but I’ve never owned a “gaming laptop” before. And there was a good reason for that; gaming laptops were too expensive and clunky to be worth the investment. So, it has been a pleasant surprise that this computer has worked as well as it has. In my time with it, I have played Overwatch, Doom (2016), Tomb Raider (2013), Total War: Warhammer 2, Fortnite, and Endless Legend. All have worked well. The game that struggled the most was Warhammer 2, but even my desktop computer struggles with that one.
I also really like the look of this laptop. The keys are lit red, but in my experience, they were never too bright. The screen is great. It’s a bright, crisp 1080p. The machine boots up much quicker than I expected. The keyboard is responsive, and the sound system sounds great when everything is working as designed.
However, I did notice some bugs. Nothing to make me take a star off, but the audio drivers need some work. Occasionally I would get weird audio feedback with button presses. I checked on Acer’s site and with Windows Update, but the machine was running the best drivers out of the box. It seems to be related to the Dolby Sound System application, but I’m not entirely sure. Either way, it usually cleared up quickly and seemed more noticeable after the machine had first been turned on.
Thankfully there aren’t too many unnecessary programs on this laptop but I didn’t need the annoying Acer App giving me other app recommendations. Nor did I want a Norton Security Suite that was just going to be expiring in 30 days. Both of those were quickly removed, but the other Acer Programs were very useful. Through the Acer Software Suite, you can check on the integrity of the hard drive and battery as well as optimize the hard drive and check for necessary driver updates.
Upgrades:
The laptop provides easy access to the hard drive storage bay and the RAM storage bay. Currently, there is one 8GB DDR4-2400 PC4-19200 260-Pin SODIMM installed. There is a free bank where you can easily install another. In fact, with 8GB DDR4 sticks running around $89 to $100, that may be my first upgrade. The hard drive can be switched out for a slightly larger model or an SSD, but keep in mind that the hard drive will need to fit inside the included mounting hardware. If the drive is too thick (think a 3 or 4gb 2.5 hard drive), it probably won’t fit.
Conclusion:
I really enjoyed this laptop. If you are looking for a new gaming laptop, I don’t think you will regret picking one of these up.

The Dark Core RGB SE is my first Corsair mouse. Prior to this, I have always used Logitech and / or Microsoft mice, but I have to say I am impressed with what Corsair has created here. Wireless charging and RGB profiles are icing on the cake.
This mouse is obviously intended for gamers. You can connect the mouse directly via USB, wirelessly with the included dongle, or via Bluetooth 4.0 or greater. As far as I can tell, the USB and Wireless options perform near identically. I can't tell a difference. Combine that low latency with great DPI and a sniper toggle and I truly believe gamers with this mouse have an advantage in games like Overwatch and Fortnite.
Downloading and installing Corsair CUE software is a must as that software lets you customize the DPI settings and the RGB profile of the mouse.
All-in-all, I am greatly enjoying my Dark Core RGB SE mouse and I highly recommend it.

where is the micro phone? can it be used for a call center?
The headset features a retractable boom mic on the right ear piece. In my opinion, the headset would work well in a call center or home based call center. There is a mute button built in to the headset and the mic works in either Bluetooth or the wired 3.5mm mode.

Without the included earbuds, you can use your own or connect via Bluetooth. There is no built in speaker on the player if that's what you are asking.

have a 2019 mazda cx3 w/bluetooth capability. Will this work? Is a usb power cord available?
It should pair with your car, but there is no USB power cord. It still relies on an older ac or dc adapter.

Will this work with Apple Bluetooth earbuds?
I don't see why it wouldn't. I paired it with Bluetooth headphones from Samsung, Sony, and JVC without problems. The only quirk is you have to make sure to turn on the Bluetooth feature each time you start the CD player. Also, sometimes the devices have to be re-synced every time you power on. My headphones kept the connection, but some of my Bluetooth speakers did not.

I read online that this mouse doesnt work with windows 10?
I am using Windows 10 ver. 1903. It works fine. It works on Windows 10 over Bluetooth and with the included USB light speed receiver.
