If I had to equate this MiniPC to a cartoon character, I would have to go with Speedy Gonzalez; not necessarily strong, nothing in particular that it does extremely well, but its snappy, fast, light and agile, and here for the party!
Looking at the specs sheet, the 8GB RAM seemed a little anemic, but out-of-the-box I haven't had any issues using this pc as a general use machine (documents, web browsing, video watching).
I originally had plans of it replacing my media streamer in my living room, as with the announcement of the option to start Windows in XBOX Mode, I thought I could maybe use this with streaming apps. However, only games are visible from the XBOX Mode, so my goal was not achievable via this route.

I may end up using it as a Home Media Server with an attached storage device to hold the majority of the files. The Omnidesk has a 3 total USB-C ports, 2 are for DP Out and 1 is a 10GB/s USB 2.0 Type C. Along with 2 USB 3.0 Type A ports on the back.
You would think that this device would have zero upgradeability as current laptops have gone that way. However, the RAM is a SODIMM slot and the storage is soldered UFS, but there is a M.2 2280 slot as well.
As for actual gaming, I struggled to get older PC games via XBOX App to play. There is a limited amount of PC games available via XBOX that would work within the hardware specs of this machine. Unfortunately, I ran into XBOX side issues.
Looking at cloud gaming though, everything runs smoothly since it is offloaded to a server.
Something not seen on typical standalone desktops is the addition of a speaker. While not loud, it is definitely useful. Its true purpose though is for AI queries as the MiniPC also has 2 forward facing mics.

Insignia 24in LED 144hz Monitor
Excellent screen with an anti-glare matte finish. It is a great all-around monitor meeting the needs of the workspace, beginner and moderate content creation, and the occasional gamer, giving you plenty of features in each of these areas.
At this value, there are only two options for Display Input, HDMI and VGA, so if you repurposed an old desktop as a NAS or Home Media Server with the decades long standard VGA, you're covered!
Playing Need For Speed: Unbound ran excellent in all of the different lighting settings you experience during gameplay.
Unpacked, the screen is set to WARM, in the Color setting. You get NORMAL, COOL, and USER which lets you customize it to your liking and Standard in the Picture settings. There are a lot of presets here, plus a USER option.
Of course, in both Picture and Color settings menus, all of the settings can be changed, not just the USER profile.
Including an HDMI cable is a nice touch, and the included Quick Setup Guide has a screenshot of each of the settings and its options.
Curiously, one specification was missing from both the Quick Setup Guide and the BestBuy product page...VESA Mount size; which I measured to be 100x100.
I am planning on using this monitor in portrait mode as a teleprompter because it has excellent anti-glare, but there are a lot of other uses. Pairing it with a media streamer, can easily turn this into a Smart monitor, just make sure there is an option to pair Bluetooth speakers as the Insignia does not handle audio over HDMI and does not have a 3.5mm/AUX out port.

I think Lenovo built the best looking Googlebook and sitting it next to my Lenovo Chromebook Plus, its the exact same design, with a color shade difference. Lately it seems the design of laptops makes it hard to actually use on the lap, as the fans pull from the bottom and right where they would sit on the lap.. Lenovo’s fan placement is technically pulls from the bottom. I’ve seen a lot of reviewers saying that the Lenovo Googlebook 15 doesn’t have fans. Not too sure they paid close enough to detail. Especially since this is a reused design.
Overall the build quality is excellent! Extremely light and sturdy. There is minimal chassis flex. There are three components of the chassis: lid, base, and input shell. The base is a poly-carbonate with wave design. The lid is magnesium-aluminum and the input shell is magnesium-carbon fiber. Each surface is painted with a fingerprint free eggshell finish.
Weight is 2.84lbs (1.29kg) and it is extremely well balanced.
Lenovo’s is the largest of the new Googlebook lineup and offers an awesome 15.3 inch OLED screen perfect for running multiple windows or binge watching some shows.
Audio is excellent for a laptop and having the up-firing speakers helps not to muffle the sound. Thankfully it has a headphone port and a host of others that also make this version of the Googlebook standout. Either of the USB-C ports can be used for charging or 10GB/s data transfer. And that still leaves a USB-A 3.2 and an HDMI port.
The keyboard is nice, the keys are a little louder than I would like, not quite a mechanical keyboard decibel, but has the press satisfaction of a solid keyboard. I don’t know if it is the trackpad size, but the palm rejection definitely needs some updating. Since that is the software side, I don’t know if that will come through GoogleOS or or driver support? Specs say it has haptic feedback, but I don’t feel that come through.
As a laptop I love it. But this isn’t just another laptop.
GoogleOS based on AndroidOS, which operates similarly to Android Desktop, with a little ChromeOS still shining through.
GoogleOS feels like a gooey brownie you're trying to cook through but not over do it and you just stuck the toothpick in the for the first time…and its still got some batter on it.
Even though there is a familiarity with the OS coming from Android phones it really helps if you are a Pixel user or at least an Android that doesn’t use its own skin/launcher, there is still a learning curve, as this is not just a straight port of Android or even Android Desktop experience.
Comparing it to ChromeOS, I definitely like the direction Google is going, as this feels like a real OS meant for getting things done. As stated the brownies aren’t done yet, but they will be with some time. Thankfully, though, in this situation, you can have your cake (brownie) and eat it too as out-of-the-box the OS is very usable and useful.
A lot of tech reviewers were riding these hard and understandably so, as the these are priced higher than a Chromebook Plus with the same specs and in some cases higher than a WindowsOS laptop, so the expectations are high and the results didn’t quite match.
However, I think because there is a lot of familiarity with the OS because of ChromeOS and AndroidOS there were too many assumptions that it is the same or mild iteration with just a keyboard attached to a massive screen.
But multiple, resizable windows are a massive jump from static windows on comparatively tiny screens.
As a business user, creator, and multiple Chrome Profile aficionado, I don’t know if a Googlebook can be my main laptop yet, but it definitely feels closer than ever.

2024 called…and its hardware is still good!
The Intel Ultra 9 288v debuted in late 2024, even after 2 years it still has some performance chops for mobile gaming and content creation. Paired with the Nvidia RTX 5070 8GB VRAM, most AAA games are going to hit high-frame rates on 1080P/1440P settings. Open world games with lots of shadowing and ray-tracing will need some parameters tweaked to keep frame rates at 60FPS minimums.
The i9 288v has the Intel Arc 140V 16GB RAM shared from the 32GB LPDDR5X system RAM. Running on battery mode and the Arc 140V takes over if left in the default GPU mode (Optimus by Nvidia) which helps conserve battery.
Base frequency is 3.30GHZ which is high enough you can do some gaming and editing without the laptop hitting any thermal throttling issues with the Turbo frequency hitting 5.1Ghz for some speed bursts.
You should be able to get a solid work day on mixed use out of the battery and if you need a top up the 140watt charger will get you topped up quickly. Mobile gaming/editing depending on the workload and content export will vary.
In Eco Mode, the laptop runs cool and the fans never had to turn on, with the CPU and Memory staying in the high 90’s to low 100’s F. Plugged in and set to Turbo setting, I exported a 37min 1080p video to MP4 and the CPU ran in the high 3Ghz range, temps stayed in the 122F-125F range. Playing some Need For Speed: Unbound, the temps were just a bit higher in the mid 130’s for CPU and GPU was low 140’s.
Fans speed during both was on high and while its not crazy loud, anyone in the room will definitely hear it. My wife thought the kettle was boiling.
The OLED screen is fantastic and I won’t even choose a laptop anymore if it is one. The CineCrystal with anti-glare is a layer for anti-glare. It is noticeable on white/light backgrounds, but in dark mode they are not noticeable. These are not distracting, just noticeable. Usually the anti-glare removes the “pop” from OLED’s, but not in this format.
The light show when turning on the laptop is pretty cool All of that can be changed in the Predator Sense app, along with the keyboard lighting and all the other areas of RGB lighting, of which there are a few.
The keyboard is excellent to use and has a fantastic feel. The touchpad took a little getting used and I had to tweak the haptic settings, force sensitivity. I turned off the “right-click in lower right” setting and just used the 2-finger touch to mimic it. I don’t use haptic touchpads often and so there is too much muscle memory with mechanical touchpads.
Audio is okay, pretty hollow sounding, but loud enough. Listening to Podcasts or spoken word is fine, but a good set of headphones will do wonders for anything you want to be immersed in.
Whether that is Bluetooth or 3.5mm Aux the Triton has you covered along with other ports. I love the USB-C ports are on both sides and both are available to charge the laptop, along with a set of USB-A 3.2’s. Not sure what Acer does with their HDMI ports, but they are some of the tightest fitting ports I have ever used.

As a first time user, it took a second time to actually get the hang of it, so after two experiences I can say these definitely have value and will definitely be a part of my routine for a way to add volume when wanting to glam it up a bit.
Going to the website to look for some tutorials, was really more a list of short reviews, which does show how others are using them, but there were no pro-tips etc. There is a small dedicated “FAQ”ish section that has written tips, but I prefer to learn by example.
I use a flat iron and curler, so it's not like I have no experience with heated hair accessories, but this was a bit different.
I don’t know if it is just a steeper learning curve or the product, but I did find the the rollers hard to keep in my hair using the U Clips and Crease Free Clips.
Crease-Free is a bit of misnomer, as even the website states these clips “reduce” creases and dents, so its not 100% crease free. Calling it “creaseless” though is a bit misleading.
The rollers do get really hot, so when it is rolled up next to your neck area, have a towel or something as it will be uncomfortable. I didn’t burn myself like I can with a curling or flat iron, but they definitely get hot.
According to the instructions the rollers only take 8 minutes to heat up and the indicator will turn off when they are ready, but I waited 20 minutes and it never turned off. So I cannot say if they were ready at 8 minutes or 15 minutes, since the indicator never turned off. But as stated they do get hot.
The included gloves were helpful, but a bit large for my hands and contributed to how tight I could get the rollers. Seeing some of the images of use on the product webpage, I don’t see how people are rolling their hair without gloves, unless they just have a super high tolerance with heat.
I can recommend the RevAir Hot Rollers, but if you are new to it like I am, there is going to be a learning curve, pun intended. But like most things, just keep at it.
Investing in some gloves that find my hands better should help or just getting used to the heat and going quickly.
Seeing others do it, did help, but having a more pro-tip review versus a review that just tries to sell the product would be more helpful.
And I definitely got better the second time around I used the rollers.
So again, I do recommend, but if you are like me and only used to blow drying and flat/curling irons, hot rollers are different and take some getting used to, so the buy-in could be a bit steep for you if these are not your thing.
Being my first set of rollers, I am happy with the outcome of the volume and lift.

Don't be the life of the party, be the reason for the party with the Hisense Party Thunder Pro!!
The speakers are phenomenal; great bass and plenty of volume. Definitely won't have issues inside and outside the range would be perfect for outdoor get togethers, movies on the lawn scenarios, etc.
The 2.4ghz wireless is a great feature and allows some distance from the speaker so you know you won't have interference that typically plagues PA type systems. The quality of audio is good enough for anything you are planning to use it for. Comparing to another PA system I have that has XLR inputs for guitars and mics offers a higher quality input audio for those situations, but at the expense of being wired.
Overall the use of the system is perfect for my uses and I is a definite upgrade on my previous system…the light show adds some swagger too!
I do have a few ideas that would make the speaker better.
First, its not a light piece of equipment and having the collapsible handle and wheels definitely makes it easier to move around, but what happens when you have to lift it? There are no grab points anywhere so its quite awkward when needing to pick it up.
Second, the wireless mic option is great, but it is a two-piece setup in which both the 2.4ghz receiver and mic have to be charged. There isn't a storage compartment or even an included bag for these accessories and the A/C cord. The 2.4ghz receiver should have been an integrated part and icing on the cake would have been a place to store the mic and even better would be a slot that would also charge.
Third, the app. It is not a dedicated app as it fits in with the Hisense home suite of devices, so it has a lot of extra and needless things. Great marketing tool for other Hisense connected products, but highly unnecessary for the speaker. About 95% of what you can do with the app can be done on the speaker itself. There are default light settings that can be cycled through on the device, but with the app you can customize the color options.
However, the different stock equalizer settings (pop, rock, jazz, etc.) I could not get to actually change the sound output style with the app. Pushing the EQ button on the speaker made the changes.
Getting the speaker out of the box is the hardest part of setting it up. Connecting to Bluetooth was quick and simple. Out-of-the box the mic is set to have the Echo effect on. In under 5 minutes you can be setup and ready to do your worst karaoke!
I can easily recommend this speaker.

Very sleek
Love the color options. It was between the Canyon and Olive for me, and I chose the Canyon.
The phone build and quality is very nice and feels the same and nearly identical size to the Pixel 9 Pro (my previous phone), but the 11 Pro screen seems to pick up my fingers better.
Being a Pixel, the UI/UX is the same so the learning curve is near zero. There are new features to learn with the camera settings and few other tricks throughout, but it's still a Pixel.

The new zoom is fantastic, and grouped with the editing functions I think this is the best phone camera I have ever had. Pictures can be tweeted to perfection, or altered with a preferred artistic flare.
The magic capture is fun! I tried it twice to see which shots it decided to grab as pictures. They were ok, but the best part was being able to pause the video where I wanted and grab a picture. Then I took one of those pictures and did AI enhancement, and then zoom enhance, they details in the end result were amazing.
Then I took that picture and and used Google Create to turn it into an oil painting. It was awesome!!

The speaker is a little less hollow sounding which is nice. It doesn't hurt my ears so much.
I have no complaints about this phone. This is my third Pixel Pro starting with the 8 Pro, 9 Pro, and now 11 Pro. So far this one feels the most polished and meaningful updates.
Not a big fan of the Pixel line getting rid of the physical SIM card slot and requiring eSIM only (I know that started with the 10 series). There is a QR code to start the transfer process even going from a Physical SIM to an eSIM with the transfer. I cannot comment on that process as Mint Mobile does not work with that feature, but it was easy to do it via Mint Mobile directly and I had my eSIM setup in no time.
According to Gemni, Google Fi is the only MVNO at the time of writing that can utilize the SIM Transfer Tool, but the main carriers (AT&T, TMo, & Verizon) can.

I’ve been using my Canon RP Mirrorless for about a year now. I purchased it for a safari trip last year and purchased a variable lens only, which was great for that purpose, but I hadn’t used it much for anything close up.
The RF45mm is perfect for regular shoots when free to get as close to the subject as you want; understanding this is not a Macro lens. Canon states that the subject minimum distance is 1.5ft or 17.7 inches, while I did not measure specifically I can confirm this true as trying to get closer on my pepper was “fruitless”.
Shooting Auto is fine for the majority of the situations, but switching to Manual allowed me to fine tune with some more tricker lighting conditions.
My shot of a dried up pepper in the shadow of a decorative block was a little tricky with the lighting conditions at the time, switching to manual I was able to fine tune and get a better shot.
Overall I am super happy with the level of the lens for the cost and the depth it can capture is fantastic. I haven’t been able to test low light yet with anything worthy, but looking forward to testing it out further.
The lens is quite light and so does not add any off balance situations when shooting one-handed.
In the industry they say date your body, marry your glass. Well, I don’t spend that much on either and don’t make a living with photography, but I can say with the value of the RF45mm F1.2STM, it definitely meets my expectations and needs and will provide me with the shots I want to achieve for years to come!

I’ve been interested in trying the bone conduction headphones for a while. I typically use earbuds, but when mowing and other activities generate sweat they can fall out.
When mowing it is always better to have ear plugs in and while I don't mind being lost in my thoughts, I do like listening to a Podcast or music too.
The bone induction gives you the best of both worlds!
In the gym or surrounded by others, even at high volume it will not disturb anyone around you as the sound is being applified through your bone to your ear.
The feeling is not weird and feels as natural as an earbud or headphone.
When wearing ear plugs, I will say it muffles the sound a bit but it is still clear enough for the spoken word or music.
I feel like the sound via this method contains more treble than bass and so there are definitely better sounding ear buds out there, but the OpenRun Air 2 are not trying to meet that need.
These are perfect for anyone that still wants to be aware of their surroundings and/or like my use case, mowing.
Another perk is as a headset replacement. Because these are clip style, they never rest on the soft part of the ear and there is no fatigue, so long conference sessions are not an issue.
For running, as the name suggests, the “band" has a stiffness to it that forces the clips towards each other to create a gentle grip effect keeping the set in place.
When using on calls, audio came through perfect on my end and others heard me just as well; background noise was not intrusive.
My first bluetooth earbuds were an over the ear band style, these are highly reminiscent of them but better!

I have used the Amazfit brand for a long time. It was traditionally my go to for an economical smartmatch that delivered battery life still measured by a single-digit but the metric shifted from day to month (“OG” Amazfit Bip had 45 day battery life!). Back then it was achieved with smaller screens and limited features (still had BPM and Sp02). Today however, the Bip MAX is a full-featured smartwatch with a bright and spacious AMOLED display, and still getting amazing battery life…double digits if measured by days and single digits if measured by weeks.
The feature set has everything you could want. For my testing, I setup the wearable to to mirror my Notifications and capture my movements and remind me when I have been stationary too long. I wanted to MAXimize battery life.
The ZEPP companion software is very extensive in its capabilities. Setting up the device does not require an account to turn and get the time, etc. But if you want integrations, a ZEPP account is necessary.
Once in the watch, you can set it up as typical companion device or go all in and use ZEPP as a primary source for a multitude of features. Some like the Zepp Messenger app, which is supposed to combine all of your messages in one place from your selected apps, are not fully featured yet. As of now, only SMS is available.
The Amazfit Bip MAX is a bit larger than I was expecting coming from a 44mm round display. However the build materials keep it light and it doesn't feel as large as it looks. Once jacket weather comes around I may need to rethink my attire game, but for summer livin' I haven't had any issues. The band is comfortable and breathable and should accommodate larger wrists.
The strap attachment was a little tricky as the spring pin rotates in the band to slide out of the way when wearing, it just means it takes a couple tries to get it to seat.
11 days of use and I'm sitting at 52% battery so the 20 days battery life should hold true.
This marks the 4th or 5th Amazfit product I have had as the “OG” Amazfit I bought 4 for myself and family members. And still have all of them, which do work when charged.
I can easily recommend this wearable, I would recommend seeing it in person if possible as the size for smaller wrists may be too large.

Removable mesh basket filter of the cone style. So you don't have to purchase filters.

Texture or feel of the keys? Are they hard plastic or do they have a somewhat spongy or soft rubbery feel to them? I type on my fingernail tips is why I ask.
The texture is a matte textured feel. It is not super slick. They are a hard plastic and don't appear to have any sort of coating on them. I will say as hard plastic goes, they are not as hard as some other keyboards I have in my personal office. So if using your finger nails, your might be noticing the clickety clack, but compared to my to other older keyboards, your probably going to notice it is a duller than usual. The keys themselves are very quiet like that of a nice laptop with really good feedback. It definitely feels like a laptop experiencing for my desktop, which I am digging!
In the photo the bigger the keyboard, the louder the keys. The middle keyboard is an HP set that came with a desktop, it too has textured keys, but it is definitely a harder plastic. And the Logitech on the bottom is loud as can be and definitely has hard hallow sounding keys that would definitely give some extra sound when typing with fingernails.
So of the 3 three the Dell is definitely going to give you the best sound experience.

Is the keyboard backlit?
Nope, that would have been a nice touch, but I think battery life may suffer and for me, it don't type much in the dark when using my desktop, but if you are using this as a travel set, i could see the benefit of having backlight. I won't buy a laptop without it anymore.

is this keyboard and mouse compatible with an HP laptop?
It is capable of connecting via the included USB receiver which makes compatible with just about computing device and it also has bluetooth connection for up to two devices, so as long as your device has a USB port or Bluetooth connectivity your are good to go.

does this drone have the the ability to return to the controller?
YES, it is called Return to Home. Each time it takes off it will set a GPS locator. If you are outside of the 20 meter radius (~70ft) the RTH function will work. Inside of that you can see the drone pretty easily and fly it back line of site or via the live feed.

hello do I need any permission or authorization to fly my Mavic mini in Miami Beach?
You don't need a license or registration to fly the Mini Series drones. However, when drone is locked on to GPS there are areas that have restrictions. Some of those areas do require you to register and you can do so via the DJI Fly App.

To keith131 the battery from mini 1 dose fit mini 2 but the mini 2 won't fit mini1. So back to my question will it damage the mini 2 using the battery from mini 1.

The wireless options is dependent on the platform of use PC=2.4Ghz radio via USB Dongle, Xbox One S can only use 3.5mm port to controller, and Bluetooth is with any device with Bluetooth. PS3/4 both have Bluetooth radios so it would work with them.
