The Short: Insignia Good, Fire TV Bad. 4K/HDR extra price for performance not gained...At this size, save your money, buy a 1080p non-smart version and add your steaming player of choice.
Quick background, I have purchased many of Insignia TVs of the years and have turned to that brand again and again for budget sets. I am also a long time Roku platform user/advocate and at this price point this product was offered to me, I thought I'd give Amazon a shot, both to test the Fire TV platform and to replace an aging 32" TCL Roku TV. In short I will be putting a Roku Streaming device on this set as the Amazon Software just stinks.
Setup:
A neat feature, probably better suited for this size tv versus larger tv's is the that set was in addition to the typical foam protection, came in a big bag with handles, which made removing the tv extremely easy. I install and mount tv's for cabins quite often by myself and that normally requires cutting the box to safely remove the set from the packaging. A 43" is neither heavy nor awkward to remove, but this was made even easier by the handled-bag-design. Installed the two separate stands quickly (they are not reversible) and clearly marked which way is front and which is right/left and then moved on to plugging it in.
The cords on TV's these days are getting annoying. I did not measure but I am gauging it is in 3.3 meter (4ft) range. 6ft would definitely have been welcomed seeing as the power supplies are either on the far right or left. I had to move my power strip to the other side of my dresser to plug-in the set, mild annoyance. However, if this set is sitting on a taller dresser (mine is short and wide) you may need an extension cord to reach a wall outlet.
The design of the TV is black plastic with a brushed aluminium texture. There was only one sticker/protective wrap on the tv (a first) and it was the yellow power consumption sticker. Bezels are thin enough. The TV is quite thick for its size due to the lighting type.
The startup procedure took a little longer than expected. I had assumed there would be software updates, but it took about 5-7 minutes to download and install. I did notice the set does not have 5Ghz Wifi capabilities. I prefer that for my smart tv devices and use the 2.4Ghz for smartphones, computers, and tablets. I don't count that against the device, but it could have been why it took longer to update as my 2.4Ghz network is full of devices. What was interesting after the update it asked me if I wanted to use the same Wifi Network I just setup minutes before. Um...YES why would I want to change the network?
A cool feature that others could learn from, when signing in to the internet and amazon accounts, the keyboard interface was standard qwerty for email, but not for password. However, both interfaces use program the Menu Button and Play/Pause Buttons as quick keys to toggle Upper/Lower Case and Continue respectively. That's different from other devices I have used.
Hardware
So far the Hardware seems fine for a budget tv. it is a definite upgrade in both picture and speed from my current bedroom TV (minus the software update). The speed could be the differences in the smart platform, but I'm inclined to think the hardware upgrades are definitely helping out.
I could not find out what type of lighting it was prior to purchase, but surmised it would most likely be edge lighting and after turning it on for the first time, that is correct. There are definite dark and light spots, again this is a budget TV, so don't expect the true 4K HDR combo of pricier sets. The HDR compatibility will be for HDR10 as it is the current industry standard and Dolby Vision requiring certain hardware requirements.
Picture quality and sound quality are great for this price range. Again 4K is the new fad, so it has to have that, HDR as well as, but I'm hard pressed to think this set has any advantage of having it. Better lighting mechanics would greatly improve it, but for what you are paying its a fine entry-level 4K TV.
There are 4 Display Settings to change the warm/cold color of the TV: Standard, Movie, Dynamic, Natural. And then also a Custom setting. Each pre-programmed setting can be tweaked.
Sound comes from two down firing speakers. They are a bit hollow and have an echo effect, treble and bass could be adjusted (deep in the settings menu, more on that below). I've never had a TV set that sound was excellent, but that can always be remedy by adding a soundbar or even computer speakers via 3.5mm headphone jack, which this TV has that and Optical Out. However, the 3.5mm headphone jack was not working properly. It was displaying sound out of only the right speaker and at a greatly reduced rate than what the volume was. The speakers I know work fine on the tv it is replacing, so I am inclined to think it is the port on the Insignia.
Sound I also found to be very loud at only 12-13 sound level. Distortion will occur around the 20 level with any content containing explosions or high treble and bass sounds. Of course having that high I think will be at the max range for any viewers listening experience as it will be extremely loud (and no I'm not old, I still listen to my music loud...I really like to feel the percussion in my Beethoven and Bach...that was a joke..but also true). I did not tweak the treble or bass settings as it seemed fine for normal listening level, but if for some reason you like it louder, I would definitely lower the stock settings.
The remote is good sized, actually like it better than the Roku remotes. You may have to reach a littler further to get to the top most buttons, but that is hardly anything we are not used to. Roku Remotes that have sound control capabilities, place them on the right side edge. Very easy to accidentally mute or change volume. This remote is also bluetooth and it responded quite well, with no noticeable lag.
Software
I'll start with the one positive I mentioned above, this OS is based off of Android TV, which means Apps/Channels can be sideloaded. So if you like to tinker or have specific apps you want, you can get them. But the average user I would not recommend that as you are not even guaranteed a good user experience.
And that's where the good stops.
My 2 Stars is generous for this platform. I had hoped that it would improve greatly on the Prime Video App on other platforms, but it is an absolute mess just the same. Adding the fact that you have to use the UI to access other streaming apps, makes it even more a mess. Again, I new this already and for the price point it was offered to me, I went with it, however, Amazon puts is services first, which translates to it does not offer any other apps for download that competes with its ecosystem ie Vudu, Google Play Movies, Fandango Now, etc. Amazon and Google are also in a small war and so you cannot even get Google backed Apps even though the platform is based off of Android TV. This is mainly for Video Steaming services. It does have Spotify, which competes with Amazon Music.
There are definite nay-sayers that Roku is a boring tired UI, however, it works and anyone can quickly navigate it. It took Apple's formula and applied it to its OS, simple, easy, even a mere child or octogenarian could navigate it. If Fire TV is innovative, then I prefer boring.
My two biggest complaints with Fire TV, just like Prime Video App, is I don't know what I am selecting half the time. It takes a while to determine if what I am highlighting is Yellow or not and then the UI navigation is all over the place. I first thought there was no way to access Display or Sound Settings, but after delving into the Settings Menu (and turning off all the "data sharing info" I found them. You are then instructed to hold down the HOME button to bring display this pop-up settings menu, which pauses whatever streaming content you are watching. Each Input HDMI 1, 2, 3 can be adjusted accordingly. Steaming content is lumped together.
When it comes to steaming players the options are: Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, and then whatever fork of Android also exists. Samsung, LG, and Vizio are busy building their own Smart TV OS Platforms and so to keep things cheap budget brands like Insignia, Toshiba, Element, TCL, Hisense, etc. are turning to partnerships. Google does partner its Android TV with Sony and Hisense and gives built-in Chromecast functionality to Vizio, but Vizio uses its owns limited Smart OS platform. This is new territory for the TV industry having Third Party software running on a multitude of hardware manufacturers devices and quite frankly its scary, its Android but in the tv arena and Google is trying to fix this fragmentation. The difference is the UI with Fire TV or Roku is the same no matter the brand tv, however, if there is an issue the brand only has control of hardware, not software. I ran into this with a 2018 TCL 55" 6 series Roku TV and returned it after 14 days, since the only remedy was to ship for repair, no thanks!

I've had a few BT speakers over the years and while the sound quality always gets better, bluetooth still has its downfall; limited range and interruption.
The battery life is great, the sound is good. A little hollow on the mid-range.
I also have a UE Wonderboom. Also really good sound and loud, PK5 is louder. However, the UE Wonderboom sometimes just shuts itself off.
The flashing lights are a novelty, turned those off.
I'm actually not a fan of the multiple devices connected at once. My phone and my wife's are both connected to the speaker, and sometimes you can accidentally take over control because it will take input from either phone. I also have mine set not to be used for phone calls and as a mic, but each new session it turns the feature back on (could be an issue with my phone).
The battery life is great!
The other reason for the lower stars besides typically bluetooth issues, is the trend of manufacturers not including a charger with battery operated devices, especially when USB-C is involved. USB-C has a wide range of power delivery and the documentation with the speaker does not state what it is. Side note it did say to only use the included charger (even pictured it) but it does not come with one!
I have a laptop that uses USB-C and charges at 45w, have a Pixel Charger, and OnePlus fast charger, which both charge different rates.
I ended up using the OnePlus charger given that I know the battery size is not going to match that of a laptop and the circuitry would handle the OnePlus even though it wouldn't charge at that rate.
Last item I found interesting/disturbing is the item shipped in the manufacturing box with no security tags showing if the item had already been opened. At first that was why I thought I didn't have a charger, but they just don't include one.
(Oh and don't be a douche and click unhelpful. Unhelpful reviews are 3 word reviews that tell us how you are feeling for a split second. Rant over.)

Quick Info
Phone Used OnePlus 5T 6" screen and Dash Charger and cable.
The Anafi is my first introduction to a drone, not counting the RadioShack Christmas specials. And so as my summary states, I'm definitely a beginner and I have to say I was quite nervous as I was pretty scared to crash the thing. I read a few reviews first and people said it just took off on them and crashed and there are no replacement parts for control arms. Checking the website, you get battery packs, controllers, and blades. That's about it.
As of writing I received the drone in the mail 7 days ago and our weather has been a little crazy so I've had to delay frequently my time to try it out.
Today was bright and sunny, but had a good 4-5 mph wind. And it didn't phase this thing one bit. It stayed and hovered just were I would leave it.
Again as a beginner, I couldn't be more pleased. I did crash it twice, once into small tall brush. Hard enough it collapsed a control arm and sent a warning to the controller screen. The second time I ran into a group of pine trees and it landed on the ground with arms in full lock, ready to fly! So its at least sturdy enough for that. When it comes to walls and such I'll let you be the judge.
Also as a beginner I think they could do a few things better:
-Have a bit more info in the packaging: there are two pamphlets one labeled a "Super Quick Starter Guide", you can see in the photo, and they mean super quick, like 8 photos. The second was FAA regulations in about 100 hundred languages, that is about 8 pages per language.
Any real info is found on the support site and they have it setup as a Q&A style which tells me they really did me to give very limited explanation of things. Which I'm not one to complain about saving a few trees, but a bare minimum would be to have the charging specs included with the drone. The support site had this info. But without a charger included, I'm not just going to throw any old charger on it. I have a laptop that charge off of USB-C, but wasn't sure if it would deliver too much power, verdict is still out. Ended up using my phone charger.
-Include a charger, for the price it's not going to be much more and most people these days don't have one that is USB Power Delivery certified to get the fastest charging times available.
-As well a bit more info on just how to fly the thing.
After my first flight I've realized that its just that simple to fly, it still could have a simple short video tutorial, the FreeFlight 6 app at least has the joystick layout (feels like a video game setup) but it also doesn't give much explanation into all the settings that can be changed and advantages/disadvantages. It definitely has a learning curve in the UI department. I would really like to see a demo mode either in the app or on the website to play with the settings and see how they affect the drone.
-How to turn it on/off! The "Super Quick Guide" could at least two double clicks to get it into pairing mode with the remote.
-My phone is the max size of what Parrott says is the range of 6". It's not the best design, it's quite crazy trying to get it to fit in, but honestly given the setup you don't want a small screened device.
-It did drop GPS signal a couple of times and that didn't disrupt my flying at least at the distances I was flying; not far. It did say that I could do a planned route.
I could keep going, but you get the point...too much guess work. Maybe being a beginner this is all stuff that veterans know? I'm pretty comfortable with tech, but this is out of my normal element.
Honestly, that's why I gave it 4 Stars, while there is a lot of guess work, at least its easy to fly. Its not so easy you feel like a pro. Currently I'm only flying by sight not the screen, but I do live near a small forest, so I'm not ready to rely on my on screen depth perception.
Closing Arguments: It's definitely worth the investment, do take into consideration that if it breaks, its probably broke.
Accessories: Considering an extra battery for longer flight times. Maybe having some sort of harness for the controller would help to prop the arms up higher to fly using the screen.

I had to do this review in two stages 1) with a 1080p 3D TV and 2) 4k HDR tv.
I think it is great that LG kept the 3D functionality with the 4K setup as it is a really good blu-ray player for 1080p quality. I'm assuming that the market is moving towards limiting the need for DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Blu-Ray players as the technologically advances it is backwards compatible. However, 3D died in 2016 (no new tv's have sold with 3D feature)...so thank you for giving me hope or just rubbing it in that is dead?
For 3D purposes I used my 7 year old LG 55LW5300 3D TV Full HD, @ 24p frame rate. TV Still works great and was made even better by this new blu-ray player.
Watching Avatar 3D definitely noticed a crisper picture and better motion versus the Panasonic 3D player that was rated best at the time and still using today.
The LG UBK80 is very basic in its use...disc content only. Your TV is already smart if its a 4K from the past year or so and to have a disc device smart seems a little redundant as there are better options if you are looking for smart capability.
The UI is the same as the cheapest LG DVD player you can buy, or the Blu-ray Player that I had 8 years ago. That's not necessarily a bad thing as it's easy to navigate and very simple to get to settings. You can get customize the features to do 24p if the disc and tv support it and a few other settings.
It does have a LAN port so the Blu-ray online features can be accessed. Pretty much the only purpose is for the previews. Blu-rays have a neat ability to update previews, so when watching an older movie you can actually watch a new preview for a yet released movie or other ad content relative to the today date. May be able to do a firmware update as well didn't look closely enough. But not necessary as it also has a usb port.
Hooking it up to an LG 55U6100 4K HDR TV it had superb picture quality. At this point only been streaming 4K HDR content and I can definitely see a difference in it, no to mention for me lately Netflix sound has been a bit off, and so I am also getting the higher fidelity sound and higher quality picture. I used Hacksaw Ridge for my content and I did have to tweak the settings just a bit on the tv as it was a little too dark for my taste in a couple scenes. A group of men are sitting in a circle in a mortar crater, its at night, and in the distance are burning fires in barrells. The flames while not in focus drawing attention to the men, doesn't bloom around those images. Its hard to see the mens faces, but the whites of their eyes show up and the reflection of light from the sweat and oil on their skin. It is a really dark scene, one used for tests such as these.
Now, most of what I spoke about has to do with the TV, but because of reading other reviews about this TV, I know the Blu-Ray player is allowing it to reach its potential.
For the price this is a great Blu-Ray Player for both 4K HDR and 1080p/3D viewing.
I don't think you can go wrong with this choice.
And if its a smart functionality you want then I'd suggest going with a dedicated player, you will get a better experience. As the saying goes, "right tool for the right job."
A quick note on size its a bit bigger and thicker than I would have thought it would be this far into having 4K Blu-ray on the market, but it could be a cooling feature for more air movement. I never heard the disc spinning in quite scenes, but my ears may have been buzzing still from the sound of war.

Like with any robot vac do not expect it to be as good as a standard vacuum. It does clean up all that is in its path, unless you are controlling it yourself (which is cool), but sort of defeats the purpose, it will go only where it can. However, once it learns the environment it doesn't just go all over, it will go in rows like mowing the grass. While this one will get in more corners with its square edges than I anticipated, it is not as versatile as a standard vacuum, but again I did not expect it to replace normal cleaning, just help in the day to day. We recently removed carpet and knew going to hard flooring the pet hair, and my three ladies’ hair, would be pretty hard to keep up.
The vac will cover about 1000sqft of laminate wood and luxury vinyl plank in the kitchen for my purposes and will have battery to spare. I was pleasantly surprised that the vac could make it over a the transition strip that is about a 5/8” drop off, no angle. The vac can make it back over it, but it takes it a couple of tries to get the proper angle and movements. On standard angled transitions it has no problems.
PROS
-long battery life/floor coverage
-virtual no go zones (don’t have to worry with magnetic strips!)
-Scheduled operation
-mountain climbing abilities (5/8” that is)
-App has battery level, time till fully charged, and creates a floor plan of where it has been, also has approximate square footage cleaned.
-replacement parts are not as expensive as I would have thought given the starting cost
-MANUAL MODE! (There is lag, like playing Super Mario Bros. and when you stop running you slide a bit, same concept, it keeps momentum)
CONS
-Turbo and Eco mode has no difference that I can tell. Says ECO mode is quieter, but I couldn’t tell. However, I will keep it in Eco mode in the event it really does better with the battery.
-gets hung up on lamp cords
-while it can go under furniture, at the wrong angle it can hit the power button, putting it in pause mode. The app will alert you (pros), but if it hits the button long enough it will turn it off and then it will start the cleaning process all over. My ottoman it did not like, its sits just a bit lower than the couches (which it cannot go under fully, the Neato badge on top keeps it from doing).
-Manual Mode doesn’t have an auto-dock feature
Overall its pretty cool. Comparing to other robot vacs on the bottom end of the price comparison, they are slimmer so can fit into more spots, but don’t have no where near the feature set.
I would recommend it for sure. Not a cheap purchase, but if your tired of dust mopping twice a day, it is a great time saver. Again, it won’t replace a good cleaning, but it definitely helps keep up in between.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Rarely do I review on design when it comes to laptops. However, in this instance, HP should have stuck to the standard formula. The intended use for this is to replace an aging but still useful ASUS Laptop that I have frakensteined along.
However, my excitement for this HP was quickly stymied as soon as it booted up to the setup screen.
Two biggest CONS are the screen and design in relation to accessing the ports.
The screen: The 2 Star rating is for the screen alone. It is is FULL HD, however, whatever glass HP chose creates an old Tube TV effect, which is quite bad. It makes Netflix movies look really dated and is hard to see using this laptop for any kind of photo or video editing. General use of typing, like for this review, and other document editing most background is white, and it is very easily noticeable of the "graininess" the glass creates. Also, before performing some of the many updates out of the box, YouTube videos were out of sync with audio. After updates everything seems to be fine after rewatching the videos I had issue with.
Windows 10 has the Night Light feature which I use on my travel laptop and an office desktop. Like it a lot. However, using it on this HP it pumps up the graininess factor even more.
Ports, the amount of ports are great, but when coupled with the design, again not sure what HP's thought process was? Given the hardware configuration its possible they were thinking of gaming and thus gave it more flair in the design department, but in doing so it creates an awkward situation for using the ports.
Looking at the photo is easiest, but because HP chose to bevel the sides of the casing, when using a port or event the power port, it gives the impression that the direction of insertion should be at an angle, but that is not true. Insertion is a standard right angle to the side. In doing so no input will seat fully against the top portion of the port. I didn't find any issue with using the ports, but it is awkward nonetheless.
Performance department, the laptop does well. With the amount of RAM and added standalone graphics power shouldn't balk at much and for casual gaming it should be just fine. That is outside of my uses, but do plan on doing desktop publishing and limited video editing. However, considering the section about the screen, not sure it really matters.
Battery life cannot say, its a desktop replacement. It is an i7-U series which is meant for laptop applications, at the expense of top performance, so I'd assume the "6 hours" claimed will be close too that. In my experience, go with 75% of manufacturers claim. With a desktop replacement go with 50% of light use and base your purchasing decision off of that; and again, not until after you see the screen for yourself. It's real downer for me.
Keyboard is great. Key's have great feedback and depth, not loud. However, they all look like they are tilted in different directions ever so slightly. Some look higher than others. Maybe its just an optical illusion from the casing around the keys and extra spacing to allow the keyboard lights to come through? The keyboard lights are great and it doesn't just light up around the keys, but the letters as well, so probably just answered my own question about why the keys look to be uneven. The lights are just on/off, no different lighting level, which is unfortunate. Would like to see the ability to also change the lighting color as well. The F5 Key is the On/off button F5 is secondary and on/off is primary, so that is at least a plus.
Fingerprint Reader: It is located on the right side of the laptop on the edge. And now thinking about its location, I can only assume that this is why HP designed the bevels on each side as they did. I found it awkward to try and use my index finger, but using the middle or "tall man" and ring finger on the right hand was easy enough. But the point finger could be used just have to setup the print with the finger resting at angle to the reader. It unlocked the PC quick enough from sleep. I don't have a lot of use with it only set it up for this review to comment. I typically just a PIN to unlock, but can definitely see the benefits of having a reader once I retrained myself to use it. Do it on my phone, why not on my laptop?
Sound: Bang and Olufsen by name badge only. It is a laptop, but putting that name badge on the laptop gave me higher expectations for loudness. It is definitely clear and full, but it varies greatly by source. Youtube and Netflix left me wanting it louder. Streaming Music via Google Music in Chrome was just enough.
Lastly, build quality seems nice. Everything is plastic painted to look like aluminum. As desktop replacement, shouldn't matter. And hookup wireless mouse and keyboard and you really won't be wearing anything out.
So that is my two cents even after inflation, which means its really not worth much! I've tried to hit on the highest highs and lowest lows.
The biggest question, would I recommend? No...at least not at MSRP. Cut that in half and it could be considered given the hardware configuration. And lets just say the price I paid is considerably less than what MSRP is and I'm seriously considering sending it back. I would never even consider a laptop in this price range for my intended uses, but this "deal" just fell in my lap...no pun intended.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was disappointed to find out it does not work well or play nice with Samsung devices.
Was able to use ASUS Android Tablet and ASUS Windows 2-in-1 on Windows 10. Nexus 5 didn't work, but forgot that is the limitation with the Nexus 5 itself.
Mixed success with the two devices that did work though. ASUS Table seemed to work better. The Windows 10 device was pretty laggy.
Also, each time the device connected, I had to switch inputs on the tv and then go back to the Wireless Display input. Not sure why it was not refreshing itself to show the connection. It worked every time though once I did this, but it was pretty annoying that Display Adapter wouldn't refresh its screen output.
Caught it on the Deal of the Day, so gave it shot, but it's going back. I am used to Roku Player casting, which works great. but looking for a device that doesn't need internet or local network to cast.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For starters the screen is excellent! My daily drives is a LG Nexus 5, very familiar with Motorola G's and E's. I really like Windows Phone UI and if just had the apps I need I could see myself jumping from Android (possibly. Android 5.0 is super sweet).
This review is written from my wife's use of the phone so I am adding to what I have experienced with it just playing around and what she has experienced as a daily driver, so it all comes through as first person.
She has used Android/Samsung in past and has never looked back switching to Windows Phone. It's Apple iOS, with touches of Android usefulness, yet still it's own.
When it comes to Windows Phones my first introduction is a Nokia Lumia 630 from Cricket. Excellent phone, solid battery life, but no front facing camera; managed without it, but it does stink, mainly when Skype Video calling.
The BLU WIN HD is easy to hold in the hand being even though it has a 5" screen. It virtually has no bezel. With BLU's included TPU case, it made it fantastic. On it's own the plastic used to build the phone feels really cheap, especially when removing the back cover to insert SIM and microSD Card. It is not very slick, smooth, but not slick.
The camera's do a decent job. The rear does not have a zoom, which it is an 8MP shooter and can be enlarged after the pic is taken, so not a deal breaker. The front camera is adequate and at least gave me that functionality that I was missing from Nokia Lumia 630,.
Past that I did lose some things. Apparently Windows Phones leaves out a few features that are found at least on Nokia phones: Visual Voicemail, Extra menu on the Settings Menu that tells which WP8.1 version you are on (Cyan, Denim, etc.), and the Nokia/Lumia only Apps are not present (that was assumed in the switch).
The loss of Visual Voicemail though caught me by surprise as it is built into the OS. Did some research and other non-Lumia/Nokia phones also are missing this option. So apparently this is where the Android likeness kicks in and not the iOS consistency across different manufacturers.
The screen did have issues with picking up touches when using dial pad in a call. Since Visual Voicemail did not work, had to check voicemail old fashion way. while you still don't have to dial your number, but can hit the voicemail button in the dialer app, as sort of a speed dial, you still have to use the number prompts and only used once and I had issues not picking up a number or # key.
Using the keyboard I did not have any issues with responsiveness*. The asterisk however is when the phone is charging. The phone severely lags when it is charging and trying to type on the keyboard is very slow. Thankfully the battery is amazing, so the need to recharge is limited!
I did have the phone reboot itself twice in the time I used it (about 10 days). I was using WhatsApp both times and was trying to take a picture. So do not know if the issue is the BLU camera app or WhatsApp App. I checked for updates on all fronts and everything was up to date. Couldn't find anyone else with instances online with same problem. Just the visual voicemail issue. Cannot say if this issue had anything to do with background apps also running. Don't typically use too many, text, WhatsApp, etc.
Call quality, speaker quality. The Speakers are loud and could be heard easily for notifications and playing media. Call quality however, was hollow, the earpiece speaker rattles. Switching to Speaker Phone the volume is quite low compared to media volume.
I did test/play with an un-SIMmed Lumia 535 Dual Sim phone for a bit. Size it is a bit bigger, screen washed out looking, definitely didn't feel as premium as this phone or standard Nokia Lumia. Price was $30 cheaper though, but bezels made the 5" screen even bigger and awkward design for small hands and slick casing made it hard to hold. Cannot compare with issues with BLU phone, as it didn't have a SIM to test functionality. The screen of the 535 really turned me off with its poor viewing angles.
However, a first time user may not have had issues with this.
Like the title says, I think a first time Windows Phone User could see past some of this, so I can still recommend it. , but being on a true blue (pun intended and literal) Nokia Lumia 630 (cyan color) phone, its hard to look past it. I simply wanted a front camera and Dual SIM was added bonus for my bi-yearly travels overseas.
It was however, Pretty in Pink!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Plenty of USB ports
What's not so great: Wish it had dedicated graphics or SSD
In this review I am looking at all that came in the box with the HP Envy 700-214.
It has been a long time since I have had a desktop PC. I honestly never thought I would go back to one with the quality of laptops out there. But you pay the price for mobility as I bought this desktop with a monitor package deal for just under $900 and couldn't touch that price with specs for a laptop. However, seeing that I need some good horsepower under the hood, my minimal road travels usually only require email and doc prep, so I didn't need much for being mobile. But in the office I need quite a bit. I do desktop publishing, short videos, financial software, etc. And I need the ability to allow coding and such to happen in the background, while I continue to work.
I knew I needed an iCore 5 or higher to get accomplished what I wanted so I only looked at desktops meeting that requirement. Memory had to be 8GB or more and for some reason I thought this machine had dedicated graphics memory. It does not. It shares the system memory of a max (and defaulted at) 1792MB. so around 1.5GB of the 12GB system memory is being used for graphics. I should not run into in any issues, but dedicated would have been nicer.
So as a desktop it is as fast and quick as I expected. I am a Windows 8 fan, even though I am not using touch screen in the office (I do on my Asus T100, which Windows 8 comes a live on touch screen) but in the office it just not practical as my screen is not in my face.
**A side note on Windows 8. Dual screen is a little wonky because to access some of the settings you have to be able to get the "Charms Bar" located on the right side of the screen and the opposite is true for the left side of the screen to access current running Apps. Without touch screen setup Windows 8.1 gets a bad wrap, and I would say rightfully so. All of the changes are behind the scenes and I can attest to the fact that Win 8 runs lighter and faster than Win 7 especially on older machines. On my little Asus Transformer Book T100 I use Win 8.1 as is. However, in the office setup I employ third-party software called ClassicShell. It is free and essentially it brings back the Start Button/Menu on the desktop. Now Windows 8.1 added the feature back to skip to the desktop on startup, Classic Shell has that feature as well, but it takes a trick for it do it and I just allow Win OS to handle that task. Once you get a round the learning curve of Win 8.1 theoretically you could do with out the Start menu on the desktop, but most don't want or can't take that time to get used to it. So ClassicShell (and others out there) help bring it back. The rumor has it that Windows 9 will bring it back, which they should have just did it from the beginning in Win 8 but again that's my opinion.
Getting back to topic, I do use dual screen setup, I cannot multitask without and over the years my screen sizes have increased now running dual 23" monitors 1 is HP (bought a pc/monitor package deal) and the other is an older 23" Hanspree (not as nice as the LED HP, may have to swap it out as reading text is just not that nice in comparison and now I know why I squinted. I just thought it was my eyesight)
Anywho, the system graphics handles it all just fine. Have not noticed any issues yet, I have not thrown the kitchen sink at it yet, but I really don't forsee any issues there with it.
The pc is very quiet, much quiter than I expected which is good. Again, once I start throwing larger tasks I am sure noise will pick up but I don't expect much.
The 2TB harddrive is nice as I won't run out of space for what I am doing, but it is a little sluggish on wake from sleep. From full off, the pc starts up quickly (mostly thanks to Win 8 for that) and gets me going in under 1 minute once a few things load. I knew going that the harddrive could be a bit sluggish compared to lesser size, say 500GB or 1TB but it works fine.
I really wish I had an SSD of at least 128GB for OS and subsequent programs and the 2TB for storing files and such. But I couldn't find one and probably wouldnt' have paid the price anyway. I can make upgrades down the road, which this desktop definitely allows.
I can even add another 4GB of memory to total out at 16GB if needed. Honestly would add a dedicated graphics card first though.
The wireless card inside is very strong and works well. I was a little worried about this as it doesn't have an external antenna. I am only 30 feet from my wireless router (diagonally) as my office is the basement of my home but it picks up the signal just fine at full bars. It did waiver once from 5 to 4 bars, but just shortly. Could have been someone standing in the direct path upstairs, but it didn't disrupt anything I was doing.
I have more USB ports than I know what to do with, which is fine by me.
One item that was complete junk in my opinion is the included wireless keyboard and mouse. The mouse is a joke. I am used to Logitech products for the last 10 years. Actually I have an HP wireless mouse elsewhere and so I at least expected that quality. This is definitely novelty at best just to make the features sound more appealing in the "What's in the Box" section.
I have tried all the settings possible, but the mouse jumps quite a bit, even when not being used. Precision is very hard, so it has to go as when I am doing desktop publishing or video editing precision will be key.
The keyboard is okay. The keys are nice and evenly spaced, but it does make quite a racket, especially the space bar. One aspect I do not like is the shortcut keys. I am used to the Logitech where I have dedicated media key functions (play/pause etc) this keyboard is not dedicated but requires the use of a dual press of FN key and the desired command. So not very convenient. The sound level is independent though so at least that is easy.
Obviously you can tell I enjoy Logitech products, so if you are not used to them then maybe it won't be an issue for you; outside of the mouse I definitely thing you will notice that. I do like the 10-Key Numeric pad as it works great and the keys are layed out nicely. My complaints mainly rest in the mouse department.
I needed a PC fast as my current rig was overheating as it just couldn't handle all I needed to do and I nursed it along for over year. I thought about building my own machine as I could get exactly what I wanted and would have even more longevity but I needed one quick and I have bought HP before so knew of their solid nature.
I am a bit of an audiofile so the Beats Audio sounded like an extra bonus. I can't tell any difference from my previous setup as my speakers have not changed (still rocking Altec Lansing THX with external sub from 2001!)
Well there is my two cents. I don't like reviews that are one liners of "works great" as that tells me nothing about how you use it! So this is how I use and what I expect from it. Hope it helps you with your decision.
One item I did want to add is I prefer small towers (slimline) but I was not able to get one with the chipset I needed (again unless I built my own). The size though is not bad, I had to add a little side table to my desk to accommodate (I hate desktops on the floor, requires too much cleaning out of dust and pet hair)
This product is... Perfect for Business, quiet
About me... Regularly process large video or graphics files, Business Professional, that guy you call to ask tech questions
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Excellent Story
What's not so great: ?
Love the story, love the design. Totally puts a twist on all the fable and mythical characters of childhood.
Its like a G rate Grimm Brothers cartoon...gritty, dark, and funny too.
My family loves it!
3D is cool, but really forget I am watching it after awhile. May just not have enough effects. Or our brains see in 3D 360 all day, so it just gets use to it.
My daughters like it, but still prefer 2D. Really the best 3D movies I have seen thus far are documentaries.
A mix of live action and cgi models really are cool.
Sorry, sidelined the original topic there.
Bottomline movie is great, and because of this review I am getting extra points as a Rewards Member!! Can't be that.

Not with the included stand. An third party stand it could, just make sure you have the power cord side down...it is barely 3ft long.

Yes, but I could not get them to work attached to my ASUS laptop. Not the first time for a monitor with built-in speakers. These are typically pretty minimal quality, so don't think it would be like a TV setup.

Make a smart solution to upgrade your home security to IndoorCam Mini. Never second-guess what you see in clear 2K resolution, and give yourself control with pan and tilt functions to monitor your home’s most vital areas. IndoorCam Mini features On-Device AI Human Detection, a technology that identifies humans in the frame and only sends you the notifications that matter. After returning home, you can turn on Home Privacy Mode, which turns off the camera and rotates it to your preferred privacy angle. Best of all, there’s no monthly fee after your purchase.

Can this new Indoor Cam Mini connect to the Eufy HomeBase? I would like for the IndoorDam store data on the base for easy access and control.

Unfortunately, no. I have the Homebase2 and it does not integrate with that storage; the SoloCam series are the same way. It can utilize cloud storage in a subscription, MicroSD card, or if you have a local Network Attached Storage device it can save clips there. Those last two options also allows the device to be able to do continuous recording.

Can this indoor camera be set up in a window to record outdoor activity? I can’t use a doorbell camera due to a porch pillar blocking the view of the mailbox. I am looking for something to capture both the mailbox and the porch steps.

No, the glare off the window would cause issues with it properly recording movement. At night you would also have to disable night vision as the IR sensors would bounce back and distort the image. The placement guide suggests not having anything within 8 inches on both sides and 10 inches above.
