The description says this comes with a remote control. Does it really? I have been told they do not make remote controls anymore but I'm looking for one to make it easier for my mom to use when she drives.

The KW-V850BT is compatible with the RMRK258 remote. The remote is an optional accessory which can be purchased separately.

Having trouble getting my Android to download the jvc mirror app for my new kw-m 150bt my Android is 7.1.1 version z899vl

Make sure it is the Mirroring OB for JVC App. It is also possible that your phone itself does not support Mirroring via USB. Try another smartphone as well.
