The radio offers the HDMI connection. You could essentially connect your phone using an HDMI connection and watch your apps way. This would be the only way via the HDMI.

Can I use WAZE as my navigation system instead of google maps?

As long as your phone has Android Auto or Apple Carplay you can use that feature for Waze. Just make sure Waze is downloaded on your phone and Android Auto or Carplay will let you use Waze via that function.
