These can be used with a 9yr old. The packaging has different ear cushions if they need to be adjusted. Audio limitations would be on the device itself or on the headphones. You can turn up/down the volume with the headphones or the device that these are connected to.

On my steering wheel I used to have a button that switched from one programmed station to the next. Now that button changes from FM to AM, which is a useless function. How do I get it to work like it used to? I used that button more than any other.

How to i answer a call? I can make calls and hear the other person on the earbuds but I can’t answer an incoming call

Press either ear bud quickly when the call comes in. Its a single tap. You can always call or request the manual link by calling JVC directly.
