Do all earbuds have mic's so you can talk? I am looking for wireless earbuds w/mic and hook for over the ear.

These headphones do have a mic that allows you to receive calls and talk with them. You can always request a manual from calling or emailing JVC directly. They have their own customer service line

i have an 2003 nissan maxima , does this product come with the housing?

Looking at the information it does show to have a built in mic. You can always confirm this with JVC but showing its specs it should work.

Would these work well with an older iphone that is just being used as an ipod for listening to music - specifically the iphone 5c? thanks!

The headphones will work with any Bluetooth device. Apple uses the same IOS software and hasn't changed that so the headphones should work just fine. If any issues you can always return the headphones within the return policy.

How long do they last on a full charge? How long to recharge?

They last roughly about 6hours and 2.5hrs to charge roughly.

Is this a universal aftermarket radio?

The radio is aftermarket. You can check the car fit guide to see if your vehicle is compatible. The model page link has the fit guide on there for you to check.

I only want to play CD books on tape I want to be able to shut down and resume at spot where I left off when I get to car the next day

The radio does have the option of playing the last source you were on.

Will these ear buds work with my Samsung android phone and tablet?

The headphones are compatible with Android devices as well as iPhones. You can connect them to any Bluetooth device.
