Can you tell me the interior dimensions, including the floor dimensions as it looks like there is a small pop out at the back of the fridge.

The internal dimensions are 17.9 inches wide, 28.9 inches high and 16.7 inches deep. There is a bump out in the bottom to account for the compressor. I do not have exact dimensions of this bump out but I would estimate that it takes up approximately half of the bottom of the refrigerator.

What's the difference between this model, and the one ending in SSDB?

I cannot see the full model number of the one you are looking at but the ending of the model numbers indicates colour and branding. For example, the SSDB stands for "stainless steel Danby" meaning that model has a stainless steel door frame and is Danby branded. I would assume that the one you are looking at ends in BDB, which stands for "black Danby" meaning that model has a black frame around the door and is Danby branded.

Does it have a glow light or light that stays on with the door closed? So you can see inside fridge without turning on a room light

The interior light will default to off. It can be turned on to run continually. Due to energy efficiency requirements for an appliance of this size, there is no option to have the light turn on when the door opens.

The front width is listed as 17.5. When the door is open does it remain 17.5 or is the door hinged so that it increases ie. by an inch or so? So can it fit in an opening 17 3/4 inch?

I would not recommend building this unit into a space that size. This is a free standing unit that requires a minimum of five inches of space on both sides and the back for proper air flow.

The model you are considering is not rated for outdoor use and installing it on your patio would invalidate the warranty. You may want to consider the DAR033A1BSLDBO which is rated for outdoor use however it does not have the small freezer section, it is an all refrigerator.
