I'm trying to figure out if the small vac can be detached and used to clean a car. To do that, it would need to have the option to run on battery. Can this run on battery temporarily? I've seen mixed information on here. Thanks.

I can't get the top with the red handle to twist firmly on to the cannister. Is there a trick I'm not seeing?

How to replace dirt or remove

Hi, thank you for your question about the Dirt Devil Power Express Lite Stick Vacuum. We are here to help! To empty your dirt cup, you need to remove the hand vac from your stick vacuum. Once you do that, please press the grey filter button on the top of your hand vac. This will detach the dirt cup from your unit so you can dump its contents into the trash. We hope this helps!
