Capture 360-degree footage and action with this GoPro Max Grip tripod for your GoPro camera. The versatile design lets you use it as a camera grip, extension pole or quick-deploy tripod to set up and change shots on the fly. The extension pole on this GoPro Max Grip tripod locks into position with a simple twist for securing easy shots.
Why is this called a Max Grip when it’s compatible with other GoPro models? Also will the stick be invisible if used with a GoPro 12 Black?
This mount is called the MAX Grip and Tripod because it is designed to work with the MAX camera's unique features. Specifically, since the MAX can shoot 360 videos, mounts need to be in specific positions (ex. directly underneath the camera) in order for the mount to disappear when the two halves of the video are stitched together. This mount will work with nearly all GoPro cameras though. Since these other cameras are likely not 360 cameras, you wouldn't need to worry about the mount appearing in the shot unless you adjusted the camera to shoot down at the mount itself. You could just use it as a normal tripod or selfie stick with these cameras.

Take a look at the GoPro Player for Windows app. It's a great option for editing your MAX files.

While recording, you can't pause the recording. You can stop the recording though and restart the recording as a new recording when you're ready.

How much does the battery last and does it require wifi to record
Battery life will depend on the specific camera you're using and the settings you choose. With the HERO12 Black, for example, a fully charged battery should last about 70 minutes at the highest resolution and frame rate, and could last nearly 2.5 hours at lower frame rates and resolutions. GoPro cameras do not require wifi to record. They can be used nearly anywhere - whether there's wifi around or not.

The size of the files will depend on the settings you choose and the length of the video you want to send. Because the HERO10 Black can record at up to 5.3K resolution, unedited files can be large - often several gigabytes - which would be difficult to email. If you want to email your videos, you could use a video editor to create a smaller version, or upload the video to an online source like the GoPro cloud platform (through the GoPro Subscription) or a site like YouTube and then share the link through an email.

Even after twisting the extension pole, it cannot support the weight of a GoPro 12 Black. What can I do?
