If the same issue happened with two different cameras, you'll want to take a look at how you're charging the camera. It could be an issue with the USB-C cable you're using, but it's probably more likely that the issue is with the charging block or the actual power supply. Try charging the camera by connecting it to your computer. If you have an iPhone, the charging block for the phone will work as well.
Also, it could be that the camera's battery is just very low. In those cases, it can take a while for the camera to have enough stored power to even power the indicator lights. Leave the camera plugged in and charging and see if it is getting power after an hour or so in that case.
