i read reviews on other cameras where it was mentioned that a con was that while they were away they could only see 1 camera view from the app at a time.

The included cables are pre-made for DIY or handyman installation. The system can detect motion based on pixel changes in the video image, and distance will vary depending on your installation environment, lighting conditions, and installation position of the camera. The system can be set up to send you an email with an image attachment when motion is detected, and the motion events are flagged on the DVR in the events list for easy review. For more information please download the full user manual. The system can be viewed over the internet on your iOS devices.

how or will these wireless cameras record continuously on your pc or laptop? so you can go back into the recordings and find certain things on a date?

The cameras record onto the SD card in the monitor, and do not record directly to PC or Mac. The SD card can be removed, and video copied to a computer. The monitor has a playback function to view video by date and time.

How far will the cameras send a signal

The max range is up to 450', however this range can vary greatly depending on your specific installation environment (number of walls and surfaces the signal needs to pass through, building materials and type - for example, the signal will not pass through metal objects, etc.)

The camera can run either on WiFi or on a hardwired CAT5 network cable for data transmission within your network. The camera comes with a power plug for connection to a standard wall outlet, and does not run on batteries or PoE. The camera is compatible with PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.

Operation of the System
I see that the dr records using an 8 GB card so what is the continuous recording time that this card hold? Does the dvr have any storage? In one response the system allows for remote viewing (smartphone), is this live viewing or recorded viewing from the card? What is the power source for the camera- if battery, what type and average life span

The unit will record up to 28 hours (single channel) on the 8GB card, and the unit is expandable up to 32GB. This is the only storage available on this model. This unit also does not have remote smartphone viewing, and live video can only be viewed on the monitor. The power source is an electrical plug, the cameras do not work with batteries.
