No, This is a cable modem. a DSL service will need a DSL Modem.

Does this work with Frontier’s DSL? Will it cover a range of whole house?

This is not compatible with DSL services. You will need to look into a "DSL Modem" rather then a Cable Modem. - NETGEAR Team
