I have this router. It is working fine. My concern is that the top is very hot. Is this normal or does it indicate a problem?

I have an AC3000 series system. Im looking to add another satellite. Will one of the Ac 2200 satellite units work with the AC3000 system?

Does this work as a router and modem or do I have to buy a modem too

this product functions as a router only so if your service provider requires a cable modem it would be required.

my wifi is located on the first floor in the front of the house. I'm trying to get reception on my TV in the back of the house outside in the patio. where should I put the extender.

The ideal location to place the Extender is half-way between your wireless router and the other device.

This is a router only device so it would need to be connected to a Modem to work with Comcast.
