Can I set it to use cold water by default?
Good question jharris about setting this Samsung washing machine model to use cold water by default.
This Samsung washing machine model has pre-programmed cycle settings and these settings could not be reprogrammed to use cold water by default. We recommend changing the water temperature before you start the cycle.
Please turn to page 31 of the user manual I have shared below to know how to change the water temperature and page 36 for the cycle chart.

Control Panel ? Glass or plastic ? If acrylic will it bubble from the heat of oven. Where are the oven vents and if your cooking will the heat from the oven get you warm or hot ? If the oven vents are in front under the control panel, does it get hot ?

We appreciate your question about the material used for the control panel as well as the oven vent location in this Samsung range model.
The Samsung range model uses a glass touch control panel. The Oven/Cooling vents are located toward the back of the cooktop. There will be heat exhausted from the vents when the oven is used, it may get warm if the room is not ventilated properly.

Just purchased this. I can't seem to turn off the motion (soap opera effect) off. I followed all of youtube, but still is on. The only way it turns off is when I choose game mode. The game mode seems to have the best picture clarity. Thank you.

To turn off Auto Motion Plus, Navigate to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus Settings (Picture Clarity Settings).

Range only shows 3 modes even when I select all of them in my mode list and save The same three are only shown when I return to the main menu. Broil, connection bake, convection roast.

Some models only light up buttons that are currently available (like Broil, Roast, or Bake) and will ignore input from other buttons because they are not available at the moment.
You may have to perform a factory reset on your range if the settings are not reflecting on your range and the SmartThings app.
