My living room ceiling is 17’ high. Will this affect the quality of the sound with the up firing speakers?

Does this soundbar have a night mode which lowers the bass and makes voice clearer? Can you set up custom audio profiles to easily switch to?

The HW-Q750B Soundbar does have the ability to switch to night mode. You will use the SOUND CONTROL button on the soundbar remote.

There are not custom audio profiles available on any Samsung Soundbars.
