 Samsung - HW-A650 3.1ch Sound bar - Black
Samsung - HW-A650 3.1ch Sound bar - Black
Elevate your experience with 3D virtual surround sound and built-in center speaker.

Can the sound come thru the TV and soundbar at the same time?

Hi Skyesmama! This would depend on the TV's capabilities rather than the soundbar. The HW-A650 can connect to the TV via HDMI/ARC, digital optical audio, or Bluetooth wireless audio technology. Samsung TVs feature Multi-Output Audio allowing you to use a Bluetooth audio device and the TV speakers at the same time. If you are looking for a device with Q Symphony support, check out the HW-Q600A at the following link from Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-3-1-2-channel-soundbar-with-wireless-subwoofer-and-dolby-atmos-dtsx-carbon-mid-silver/6454638.p?skuId=6454638

Is it Alexa compatible?..

Hi Willbob0213! The HW-A470 does not feature Alexa support. "Works With" Alexa supports starts at our HW-Q700A Soundbar - meaning you will need a standalone Alexa device to connect the voice assistant to your soundbar. Built-in Alexa can be found in our S60A, Q850A, Q900A, and Q950A Soundbars. ^Tim

Two questions regarding the HW-A650 3.1ch Soundbar. 1) Which model rear surround speakers match this soundbar. 2) Having both options available for soundbar connectivity, which of the two will give best sound quality?

Hi 70sMusicLover! The compatible rear speaker kit with the HW-A650 is model SWA-9100S found at the following link from Best Buy: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-2-0-channel-wireless-rear-speaker-kit-with-surround-sound-black/6456117.p?skuId=6456117

The website very clearly states you can connect with wifi, see below: Multi-Connection- Easily connect your Soundbar to your TV with either Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or HDMI. I ordered it and it does not. Please explain!

Hi! We greatly appreciate you bringing the details of the Overview section to our attention and will work with the appropriate entities to get that corrected. Feedback from valued customers, such as yourself, help us in our drive towards best-in-class products & service – which includes accurate information for all our models. The HW-A650 does not support WiFi.

 Samsung - HW-Q65T 7.1ch Soundbar with Dolby 5.1 / DTS Virtual:X - Black
Samsung - HW-Q65T 7.1ch Soundbar with Dolby 5.1 / DTS Virtual:X - Black
Elevate your entertaining experience with immersive 3D sound. The power of Samsung sound bar Q65T makes surround soundbar comes to life with speakers that fire all around you.

Trying to test these with one of those DTS 5.1 test videos which play sound in each single speaker to confirm surround works but I can`t get it to work. Rear speakers would play sound when it only front channels should play the sound. I`m using ARC HDMI

Hi Simonnet! You may want to try changing the sound mode of the soundbar. Different sound modes will impact the audio being sent to the rear speakers. Should you continue to experience issues, please reach out to Samsung Support at: 1-800-SAMSUNG, available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week, or Chat with us on Samsung.com: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/

 Samsung - 5.1.2-Channel Soundbar with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X
Samsung - 5.1.2-Channel Soundbar with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X
Explore realistic 3D audio with sound precisely projected from above, in front, behind and to the side of you with the latest acoustic technologies.

Since the speakers in the sound bar are up firing, shouldn't the sound bar be installed above of the TV to maximize the sound quality?

Hi ThomasM! Samsung soundbars are designed to be placed in front of the TV on a stand, or mounted directly below the TV for the optimal audio experience. If placed too high, you will not get the full experience from the main speakers: front left, center, and front right. The height speakers on the HW-Q850A are used to enhance the surround sound and are strategically angled to give the optimal height effect when placed in this position.

Doe’s this pass-through Dolby Vision?

Hi HR! The HW-Q850A is designed to pass-through HDR10+ rather than Dolby Vision. For the optimal experience with devices that support Dolby Vision, we suggest running the device to the TV, then using the HDMI eARC connection to maintain uncompressed audio between the TV and the soundbar.

Samsung - HW-Q950A 11.1.4ch Sound bar with Dolby Atmos - Black
Breakthrough innovation with True 11.1.4ch sound.

Will this Sound bar work with any 4k uled tv..speaking of the Hisense 9h or the Tcl top line tv for 4k

Hi! The HW-Q950A is not brand restricted and features three ways to connect to an external device: HDMI (ARC), digital optical audio, and Bluetooth wireless audio technology. If your TV is compatible with one of these three audio connections, you should have no issue connecting the soundbar to your TV.

can I hook up a turntable to this system

Hi yankeeman! The HW-Q950A features two HDMI inputs and Bluetooth wireless audio technology. If your turntable can connect to one of these two audio connections it will be compatible with the HW-Q950A.

Hello, When I plug in Xbox Series X to the bar, will it pass thru 4k, HDR10, at 120HZ to the TV? When I plug in Xbox Series X to soundbar, will it pass thru 4k, Dolby Vision, at 120HZ to the TV? I'm reading that it doesn't support HDM2.1 (4K at 120HZ)

Hi! The HW-Q950A does not support 4K@120hz pass through. For the optimal experience with devices supporting FRL or Dolby Vision, we suggest running the device to the TV compatible with FRL, then using the HDMI eARC connection to maintain uncompressed audio between the two devices giving you the best of both worlds.
