If the sound bar is placed in front of the TV on the same table top, does it block out any of the viewing area on the TV?

Hi TOM! This depends on which TV you are pairing the soundbar with. If you have a 2021 Samsung UHD TV, you will have no issue with the soundbar blocking any part of the TV, even with the soundbar sitting in front.

Are the speakers located on the front of the soundbar or the top?

Will I be able to filter out the background music and still hear the dialog on TV shows?

Hi Hobo! To improve your experience and help avoid issues with the dialog drowned out, try using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
1) Turn off your Soundbar.
2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

I plan on using this with and Apple TV 4k and the HDMI ports. In this case, will the sound bar power up and down and have volume control by only using the Apple TV remote?

Hi cjc! The soundbar is designed to power on when it detects a signal from the HDMI or optical port allowing it to turn on along with your devices. If connected to the TV via HDMI, and the Apple TV remote can control the TVs volume, it will also be able to control the volume of the soundbar.
