My room is approx 19’ X 13’. Do you think system will be overwhelming? Also, where is best location to place the sub woofer? Back of the room ok? Lastly, do I need to use the optical audio AND HDMI cables for best sound quality or one over the other?

Hi Peter, The Samsung HW-T650 soundbar will work well in your room. The subwoofer is non-directional meaning you can put it anywhere within the room, it does not have to be in line of sight. The subwoofer should be placed on the floor. Its distance from the other speakers isn't important. Connecting your soundbar to the TV with HDMI will give you the best possible audio. HDMI cables transmit sound digitally, which makes everything crystal clear. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar using HDMI: either by connecting a device to your soundbar (like a Blu-ray player or a video game system) and then connecting the soundbar to the TV, or by using ARC (Audio Return Channel). Use the first method if you want to get the best possible sound from external device you will be regularly using to watch movies or play games. ARC is the way to go if you just have just a TV and a soundbar, and you want great sound from your streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Vudu. ^Patty

I'm looking to see what the manufacture warranty is with this product. Is there one? If we get the Geek Squad protection when does kick in?

Will this Soundbar work for my Samsung - 50" Class 7 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV (Model:UN50TU7000FXZA SKU:6401738). Is it 100% compatible with this model tv? I don’t want to purchase this product just to have to return it.

Q60T - Set up was simple via hdmi arc. subwoofer paired fine. The subwoofer is very weak, set EQ and woofer to +6 with no difference. I have played with all audio settings on the tv and resetting the id link several times with no success?

Hi Davevol: How many watts can be a tricky question depending on how the system is used, so I’ll give you three sets of numbers. The HW-Q950T has a total maximum speaker output of 546 watts. If you are using it as most do, you will drop to the average operation consumption of 75 watts, and while in stand-by it will consume 0.9 watts. ^Patty
