Hi Tom! The AU8000 does not feature component connections. This model supports 3 HDMI connections, 2 USB connections, 1 LAN port, 1 Optical Audio output, and 1 RF Antenna connection. ^Tim

are the usb ports powered ports; i.e., can one use a usb port for electrical power?

Hi! The USB ports on the AU8000 can be used to power smaller, external devices designed to power off of USB such as select streaming devices or a TV light strip. The USB ports on the TV cannot be used to power the TV. ^Tim

What is the exact width & height of this TV?

Hi JGordo! The width of the 55" AU8000 is 48.5". The height of the TV with the stand attached is 29.9". The height of the TV without the stand is 27.9". ^Tim

Is there a way to add volume? The control is maxed out at 100 and still low volume?

Hi JT! Several Sound Modes are available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
Also, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try cable connection again. ^Tim

Thanks so much for asking, Glenn4ster! In the dispenser on the door, there are buttons that allow you to choose between water, and crushed or cubed ice. However, once this is selected, pressing the cup against the lever will activate the dispenser. This means you can use the dispenser with only one hand. ^Jecca
