I am legally deaf and have been since I was 3 1/2 years old. I use closed captioning as well as sound. Consequently I cannot use Alexa or Google Assisant. Also cannot hear most videos. Is there another ways I can hear sound other that using the systems

Can I program/configure the TVs smart remote to control the volume of a Yamaha HTR-5960 receiver connected with an optical cable?
