Hi Sandy, you absolutely can connect AirPods to the TU7000! Refer to your headphone's user manual for how to pair. Once paired to the TV, press HOME on the TU7000 remote. Then go to Settings > Sound > Sound Output > Bluetooth Speaker List. Choose the headphones you wish to use for sound output. ^Gina

Is the sub-woofer side firing? It looks like it in the photos but I can't tell for sure. I have a perfect spot for it but its between two cabinets so side firing wouldn't work for me.

My vcr and dvd players use a cable with red white and yellow plugs on both ends to connect to tv. Is this tv equipped with connector holes for these old school attachments? Thank you.

Hi Dutch, the TU7000 does not have Composite ports; however, you can utilize an RCA to HDMI converter to connect your devices. Can you hook this TV up to cable so as to use cable mini box with their mini remote? Can you hook up to DVD?
