How heavy of aTV will this hold? We have a 60 inch plasma that weighs 175 lbs. We have looked everywhere, but can’t find one rated for that much weight.

The top of this console can fit up to most 70" Flat Panel TVs, with a maximum load of 135 lbs.

Yes! Depending on the actual height of your TV, you usually have between 5 and 11 inches of space between the top shelf and the bottom of your TV to place your audio/video equipment!

Can I place an 85 in. 107 lb. flat screen TV with a 48" x 15.5" stand (legs) directly on top of the stand without the use of the swivel mounting device?

This TV console was manufactured and tested to hold up to most 65" Flat Panel TVs, with a maximum weight of 135 lbs; we do not recommend using with larger/heavier TVs than the recommended size & weight.
