i'm planing to buy the barista express from best buy and then, i will take it to the middle east. the issue here is that, this espresso maker works with a 110v and back home, we only have 220v. do I need to buy a voltage coveter ? if yes how many Watts?

This appliance is only intended for operation on North American electrical circuits 110/120V 60Hz. It is not compatible with nor do we recommend using converters or adapters.

Can you use this to just make regular coffee with frothed milk?

Best Answer

As this is an espresso machine you would not be able to make traditional drip coffee, espresso always being extracted under pressure. What you may do is pull a double shot of espresso, add hot water to taste and then a bit of frothed milk, an Americano.

How hot does this oven get on outside?

This is not an insulated appliance and requires 4 inches of clearance on the sides, top and back at all times so as to prevent damage to the appliance or whatever would otherwise be coming in contact with.

How do I disassemble it to get the pulp out and clean it?

Unlocking the arm which in the last step of assembly, holds the parts together firmly, you will then simply lift up the juice collector bowl with spout, which carries the filter basket with it. Rinse the parts under the sink or wash with warm soapy water, and use the included nylon cleaning brush to scrub firmly both sides of the mesh filter screen.
