I upgraded to this espresso machine after my Breville Grindmaster broke. My coffee has never been as hot as my drip coffee even maxing out on the brew temp setting. Is this normal for espressos or do I need to service machine?

Does the boiler plate have teflon coating? Does water touch plastic or teflon inside the machine?
No, the Breville® BES450 Bambino® does not have Teflon® coating on the thermojet heater. The water tank is BPA free plastic as is the dispersion place in the bottom of the portafilter.

Does this unit automatically run a fan after it finishes cooking? (The larger model, BMO850BSS, does -- actually gets louder after it finishes cooking.) Also, does the screen glow peach/amber when cooking? Thanks!

Does this machine also make coffee?
If you mean drip coffee, no. It is strictly an espresso machine. The closest drink to drip coffee that can be made with the machine would be an Americano.
