Halo Wi-Fi Smart Lock is a keyless entry electronic deadbolt featuring SmartKey. Using the Kwikset App, you can lock/unlock, program up to 250 user access codes, and receive notifications from anywhere with an Internet connection. This single cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by using the keypad or key from the of outside as well as the turn button from the inside. The Venetian Bronze finish is hand-rubbed to reveal unique bronze highlights and provides a rich and warm complement to the product's style.
Info says lock won't work if wifi is out. Can I still unlock with key if power/wifi were to go out?
If the Wi-Fi goes out, the Kwikset app will no longer connect to the lock, however, the Access Codes will work on lock, touchscreen if the lock still has battery power.

Can the key lock mechanism be rekeyed to fit my current Kwikset door key that also fits the other doors in my house? I don't want to have to carry multiple keys, most Kwikset deadbolt locks can be keyed to fit an existing key - that is why I am asking.
Yes, the Halo Smart Lock has the SmartKey technology which allows rekeying the lock at any time to the other Kwikset key but is not compatible with other brands.

does this work with vivint security systems for remote lock unlock?
The Halo works with the Kwikset app and is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Brilliant

If I have multiple access codes, does this lock allow me to see which code was used, and at what times the codes were used in the app? Will it give me real time info as to when the door was unlocked and by which code?
Yes, the Kwikset app has the option to enable notifications and be notified of all lock activity. It also offers a History list of all lock activity times and users. Here's a link with more details about the Kwikset app: https://www.kwikset.com/smart-locks/app

Can l always change the code and how do l do that?
Yes, the Access Codes can be edited, deleted and added at any time by using the Kwikset App.

Can you use the keyhole to open the door when the batteries die?
Yes, we recommend carrying your physical key as a backup to unlock the deadbolt if the batteries lose power.

How many times can the code be reprogrammed? Can it be reprogrammed online or do I need to do it in person?
Kwikset Model: 99140-015 may be reprogrammed as many times as needed. Programming maybe done online if the controller allows access.

Is this lock compatible with the Amazon Alexa?
The SmartCode 916 Z-Wave lock must first be paired with a Z-Wave hub or security system before you can pair it with Alexa. Some examples of Z-Wave compatible systems are Samsung SmartThings, Wink, Ring Alarm System, Vivint, and ADT. Once the lock is paired to one of these systems, you will be able to integrate the lock with Amazon Alexa.
