Do we need to purchase anti virus software separately for Chromebook? I read that Chromebooks already had security features? If so what is the recommended option?

All Chromebook have virus protection provided free of charge by the Google Server every time the Chromebook connects to the internet.

Is the keyboard just a case or is it connected

The keyboard can detach from the screen, allowing the screen itself to be used in tablet format with its touchscreen interface.

The McAfee version is the only active virus protection at initial startup and activation of Windows 10. This will continue for the 30-day trial period. Then you can purchase a subscription to McAfee, uninstall McAfee and use the free Windows Defender protection or install your own choice of 3rd party virus protection - Just uninstall McAfee before choosing Windows Defender or a 3rd party virus protection as there can only be one active virus protection software on the computer at a time. I bought this monitor to use with my MacbookPro whenever I connect the screen to my MacBook Pro after 2 seconds screen goes from normal to a greenish color. I played around with the screens menu as well as in my Mac's display menu cant fix it. any help?
