how do i get the battery to stay charged for more then 3 hrs without draining. Is there a program running when computer is closed ? i see a blinking light on the side does that mean its not completely off?

Hi John. If you close the Lid while the laptop is powered on the device will simply "Go to Sleep". To completely power down the laptop you will need to select the windows icon to the left of the search bar, then select power, and shutdown. This will improve your battery life significantly.

Do I need to buy an extra cable besides the HDMI? because the PC does not have sound at all.

That depends on what you are trying to hook up. HDMI transfers video and audio, so if you are hooking up a monitor that has speakers with the HDMI from the PC then you will get sound through your monitors speakers. Other options for sound include external speakers which would plug into the audio jack on the back of the PC. You can also use a gaming headset or headphones plugged into a free USB port or the audio jack on the PC.
