Can I download and run Solidworks? I investigated and it says Windows 10 Home can't run it. Is there a way to change the operating system? Thanks

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WE00KVUS actually ships with Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost. Here is a link to instructions for switching from Windows 10 S-Mode to Windows 10 Home: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode. Also, we recommend you check with the software publisher's web site for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration. You can purchase the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro Operating System, but be sure the configuration of the hardware within this model is also compatible with the requirements of the software you want to use.

I bought this because it said it can work with windows 10, but I have tried every cable option and it doesn’t work.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny-In-One 22 Monitor has a DisplayPort only connection for video in from a computer. If you are trying to connect a computer that does not have a DisplayPort out port and are using an HDMI-Out port from your computer to this monitor, you need to convert the HDMI port on the computer to a DisplayPort compatible port. You will need a USB powered HDMI to DisplayPort adapter. There is no slot for an internal CD/DVD drive within this model. You could use an external, USB-based, Windows 10 compatible CD/DVD drive with this system.
