Does this work with a brand new ideapad S540? The computer is not getting charged by its cord. I want to try another cord to see if it is the cord or is it the computer.
It is possible that the Battery Saver software on your computer is showing the computer - Plugged In But Not Charging. Let the battery drain unplugged to below 50-percent, then plug the computer back in to see if the battery begins charging. This 65W USB-c AC adapter/charger is compatible with the IdeaPad S540 Series laptops, should you need a new charger.
