Hi, Maria. You cannot add another drive, as this IdeaPad has a single M.2 SSD slot, so you can expand storage size, but you'd have to swap out the existing 256GB SSD to do so.

It also features two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, leaving an available slot open for expansion. As far as what we'd recommend, you can use whatever you prefer that is compatible with the system.
