The USB 3.0 standard port on your Yoga is backward compatible to USB 2.0 devices. The Yoga computer also has Bluetooth 4.1 capability so you can use either the wireless dongle or Bluetooth connectivity with your Yoga computer and this mouse. No. 5G 802.11AC frequency WiFi is backward compatible to the older frequencies like b/g/n, which your Hotspot produces.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. We recommend you consult your certified technician for your options. This configuration has 4GB of RAM soldered to the motherboard. It is not removable. There is one additional RAM memory slot. The maximum RAM this slot can support is 8GB, for a system total of 12GB RAM.

How does it compare to a kindle or an ipad? I know size and wight, so my question is about internet navigation, etc
This is a Windows 10 based device. It will use a different browser than a Kindle or iPad. The actual browsing experience and navigation will be different because of the use of a different browser. You should be able to reach all of the same web locations though.
