Seems like a good computer until you exclude the basic CD Drive and a small hard drive making it basically a disposable computer for the basic user looking for a quality computer and have to spend more money on an external backup drive that. Sucks!
This system has a 256GB solid state hard drive. You can use an external CD/DVD drive if you need one, by just plugging in to one of the two standard USB ports on the device.

I’m starting grad school next week is this laptop good for my papers and school work.
This is an entry level, light use system with its Intel Celeron processor. It is not meant for multi-tasking or demanding programs. It is good for light work on Microsoft Office type programs and light internet browsing. If this describes your computing needs, the IdeaPad 330-15 would be a good choice.
