Does the keyboard work while detached?

No. The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook model number 82T6000EUS, comes with a detachable keyboard that connects via pogo pin connector which supplies the keyboard with power and communicates data to the tablet. If disconnected the keyboard cannot deliver information wirelessly.
