Is the RAM/SSD upgradeable?

This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. There is 8GB of RAM soldered to the motherboard and there is one RAM slot available, so your certified technician can add 8GB more RAM. As hard as the hard drive, your certified technician can replace the existing hard drive with a compatible hard drive.

I'd want to add another hard drive. Does it have space for it? Is that space 3.5" or only 2.5"? Does it have an extra SATA connector for it? If all of the above are NOs, is it possible to swap the CD drive for a hard drive? That gives me a SATA connector

There is no space for a second hard drive within this model. You can replace the existing hard drive with a larger capacity 3.5" compatible hard drive.

can i connect a game pad controller to this device? the controller for the go isnt very good and cant connect a game pad hoping the mirage is able to use a separate game pad

A game pad controller is not currently compatible with the Lenovo Mirage Solo with Daydream.
