It is a standard CD/DVD-RW drive. It is not double sided, so single-sided standard CDs and DVD-RW discs.

I need a computer that can record voices clearly of people located up to 10 feet away from the computer. How good is the internal microphone for that purpose? If not good, can you recommend a model that performs excellently in this manner?
