The Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor within this configuration is not locked. It has a base speed of 2.8GHz and a Turbo Boost speed of up to 3.8GHz. Turbo Boost is automatic and not controlled by the user. The processor will increase speed to the Turbo Boost level depending on the demand on the processor.
