I purchased 1 week ago. Unfortunately my battery life is abysmal. I am constantly on battery saving mode, and I only get 3.5-4 hours of battery life just watching streaming videos at 30% brightness and 40% volume. Why is battery life abysmal?
Hey, Joe, we're sorry to hear your battery life has fallen short for you. With the OLED display and high-powered Core Ultra 7 processor in your Yoga 9i, battery life can drain more quickly by default since your system wants to give you the best performance possible. Here's the steps to help resolve your battery life issue:
1. On your Taskbar at the bottom of the screen, type into the search box, “Lenovo Vantage”. After the application populates in the search, select it to open the application (it should have a blue “L” in a square as the logo).
2. If you haven’t used the application before, it may require some setup. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up the application to your preferences. Upon setup completion the home screen of the application should show things such as: a button labeled “Check For System Updates”, or “About My Device”.
3. First, we recommend selecting the “Check For System Updates” button and applying any available updates to help ensure that you are running the latest software, as system bugs or inefficiencies can affect battery life.
4. After applying updates, your system may need to restart. After restarting, reopen the Lenovo Vantage application. This time, along the top of the application, there are several tabs listed. Select the tab labeled “Device”. Under this tab, the section “Power” is what we are after. In this tab you can utilize something called “Smart Power”. This allows you to toggle the thermal and performance profile your is set to ranging from battery saving, intelligent cooling, and maximum performance. These profiles can also be switched by using the keyboard shortcut Fn + Q anytime using the computer. Also, in the “Power” tab are settings that can be adjusted to improve battery life. Hey, jenjen. It does not come with Google Chrome preinstalled and it would have to be installed after purchase. As a heads up, this system ships with Windows 11 Home in S mode, which prevents installation and running of apps that are not available in the Microsoft Store, with Google Chrome being one of them. To resolve this, you can switch your system to Windows 11 Home standard without any added cost.

Hello. As far as I know, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 has 1 HDMI and 3 Displayport outputs. However in the specifications, you say it has 1 HDMI and 1 VGA. Are the VGA and HDMI outputs from the motherboard, but not from the GeForce RTX 3050? Thank you!

To clarify, with the LOQ Towers, they're more compact and unlike our other prebuilt towers (like the Legion Towers) and the GPU is not mounted in a way where you can access the display outputs externally. It's all configured through the systemboard so the external display ports are indeed the one HDMI 2.1 port and one VGA port.

Is the Yoga Pro 9i considered more of a productivity or a gaming computer? I see that it's price is $100 more than the Lenovo Legion 7i with a RTX 4070 graphics (#83FD0018US) which is considered a gaming notebook with a 2560 x 1600 IPS screen.

Hey, PeteM3. Great question -- users can turn off this feature and choose to use the power button manually exclusively. To disable the Flip To Open feature, open the Lenovo Vantage app > select "device settings" or the gear icon on the left tab, select the "Power" tab > look for the Flip To Open setting toggle and switch it to the off position.
