Is it best to leave this plugged in when using or to charge it, disconnect power, and then let the battery run down? I had a Samsung that had a Battery Extender setting that would only charge to 80% when plugged in, supposedly to extend the battery life.

You can use this device while it is plugged in. It is not necessary to do so. This device will charge to 100% and maintain the charge level while plugged in.

There are levels or accomplishments to complete ... can different people use the same phone and each have an individual experience? Or would each person wanting to play, and advance through the accomplishments, have to have their own phone?

Star Wars: Jedi Challenges tracks player's progression through various challenges of different levels of difficulty. The progression is tracked thought the application user data, and as a result using two phones for two users is the best way to track two individual progression path. The Star Wars: Jedi Challenges Headset, Lightsaber controller and Tracking beacon can be used with an approved phone. Please find the updated list of phones at jedichallenges.com/compatibility
It is currently not possible to track multiple user progressions on a single phone. However, please note it is possible to replay each unlocked stage an infinite amount of time.
