Windows 11 Home in S mode is a more secure, lighter version of the Windows 11 Operating System that only allows the downloading of applications from the Microsoft Store. If you try to launch or install an executable or .exe file, the system prevents it.

The system is designed to use the Lenovo Yoga Pen, which is available via Lenovo. Although, you can use an MPP 2.0 or AES 2.0 pen, as most of them are compatible with the Yoga convertible series.

Can ram and storage be upgraded on this model?

The RAM cannot be upgraded, as it is soldered to the systemboard, but you can swap out the existing 512GB M.2 2242 SSD for one of higher capacity. The system was tested using a maximum of 1TB, but the system may accommodate up to 4TB.

Can I hookup dual monitors with this laptop?

You could connect two external displays to this IdeaPad 1; however, since the system only features one display output, an HDMI 1.4b port, you will need to use a USB A or USB-C video output adapter that does not rely on DP Alt Mode (since the USB ports do not feature DisplayPort support) to add an additional display output for that second external monitor.

In theory, since this IdeaPad 1 features an Intel Celeron N4500, it could support up to 3 external displays; however, since the system only features one display output, an HDMI 1.4b port, you will need to use a USB A or USB-C video output adapter that does not rely on DP Alt Mode to add additional display outputs.

In theory, you can install the SSD into this Yoga Pro 9i; however, you would not get optimal performance with the drive in this system, as the two M.2 2280 PCIe® storage slots are 4.0 x4 slots, while the drives take advantage of 5.0 x4.
