What model is supposed to have the fan issue fixed? Why does it say mobile processor? That way if i walk into a best buy, i can look on the box to ensure im not being sold an old model in their back stock. Never knew a SSD drive had a fan.

The Yoga 710-14 has not had fan noise issues. This system uses a mobile version processor because mobile processors are used in thin light weight systems like this one. The SSD does need a fan, its the processor and motherboard that generates heat and the fan is used to cool and maintain optimum temperatures within the system. Keep in mind as you look for a new computer, all high performance computer systems like this one have a cooling fan to keep the device within optimal temperature ranges while in use. The sound that the fan makes and whether it is an "issue" is a subjective interpretation. We recommend you stop by your local Best Buy location and DEMO this model for yourself. See if the normal operation of the cooling fan is noticeable and if it is a problem for you.
