Is this compatible with the iPhone 5s? Or it the minimum limit the iPhone 6?

Just bc know nuthin gaming-related, & It’s a Xmas gift for my Igrandson, & I don’t want to look like an idiot ...this is an all-in-one headset... as in, it does not req a game console like a Wii or PlayStation to work? My grandson had A mini Pad, IPhone.
