No, this system only comes with Windows 10 Home. We recommend you check with Microsoft about the compatibility of this version of Windows 10 to be downgraded and to what version of Windows 7 would be compatible.

Can this be used outside of college work like to play games? Would it be able to handle it? I know it's an i5, but still just curious.

It depends on the game. We recommend you check with the game software you plan on playing for their minimum/recommended requirements to run their game, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

I noticed that the 14 in one is on clearance. The size difference won't bother me as long as it offers the same features as the 15.6 in one. So I just want to make sure that there's no difference at all. If not, thanks for saving me money! (:

Are there any real advantages to having a touch-screen computer when most of the intended use is online correspondence and business needs such as generating invoices, letters etc. all requiring typing.

It is just one more user interface you have to use. It is a "nice to have" that becomes indispensable very quickly.
