This system has WiFi capability. There is no ethernet port, but you can get a USB to ethernet adapter to connect an ethernet cable. This system comes with a free 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365, which includes Excel. This system is an entry level, low use system. It will be good with basic Microsoft Office projects, including basic Excel spreadsheets. If this is the kind of work you will be doing, this will be a good fit.

how can i connect a dual monitor setup? i have an old lenovo T450 that used a docking station but this laptop doesn't have the blue port. only one hdmi. i can't seem to get my two ultrawide monitors to connect at the same time. i

There is no docking station made for this system but you can use a universal port replicator with this device.
