This system does not have a hybrid hard drive. This system has a 256GB solid state hard drive. There is no additional bay for another hard drive within this system. You can increase the solid state storage space on this device by using the SD card slot to add up to another 512GB of solid state storage space on this device.

Is this a good laptop for video conferencing?

This system has a standard definition 480p web cam. As long as the video conferencing software is compatible with Windows 10 and a standard definition web cam it will work. This is an entry-level system. The Celeron processor is entry-level. There may be some buffering with video streaming. You may want to take advantage of Best Buy's great return policy.
