Can I get an SSD installed in store without compromising the warranty?

If the work is done by a certified technician you factory warranty should be in tact. The caveat would relate to the replacement drive, but that should be warranted by the certified technician. Confirm that before you have the work done. Be sure it's in writing. Obviously, since the new drive is not OEM, it would not be covered by the original factory warranty.
